I support this 100% simply because the officer was Enroute to an off-duty engagement. And it sounds like he does it all the time.

seriously, this is a legit stop. The officer going to an off duty gig, yet abusing authority and public resources like that. It is ass hats like this that give cops a bad name.

Good thing is, being in the states, he will probably be canned for this after the official protocols are taken care of.

She is a very decent cop. She had the right to think it was stolen as he didn't have his lights on and he was driving like an ass hat.

Not sure why would the other cops do this to her. I understand the sense of Brotherhood but then you know the other cop did a wrong thing.

My cousin's BF was a cop in Florida. During his day off he was caught DUI. He was dismissed and he accepted his faith as he knows he did something wrong but I never heard him bitch about the cop who caught him because he was doing his job.

2 things stand out in my mind.

1) She is ruining it for the rest of them and not giving a "professional courtesy" pass. With this being under the lime light like this, they are all now under increased scrutiny, not just internally, but by the public.

2) She is a woman. Police departments are still very much the "old boys club". they figgure that with enough intimidation and such, she will hide under a rock. Hell, even her police chief is even stating that it will likely never be safe for her to return to work, as even he does not think that the rest of the officers will provide her backup in an emergency situation.
