He should have let him cross the threshold first and shut the door on the cameraman I suppose but yeah, more reporters should get set staight sometimes. It's ridiculous how far they can push and harass people under the guise of "getting the story".

"Sir this is assault right now and I'm going to call the police"
Yeap, real courageous reporter alright. I'd put him right up there with Ernie Pyle

Sugarphreak, that's a messed up story. Man..
Depending on what was happening (like it wasn't a crime scene or something) I would have totally gotten in the way of the camera, shoving me or not
Yep. Just tell them "I'm on public property, so you can go fuck yourself". See what they do then lol.Originally posted by Disoblige

He deserved that punch. Good... Good...

Bullshit. The reporter grabbed the door and pulled it open.Reporter: You were holding the door
This too:
Reporter: You just punched me in the face.
Owner: Ya, and I'm gonna punch ya agaan!
Epic Video! F*cking stupid annoying reporter. He deserved that one!
Hahah that is just awesome.
I dunno, as douchy as the reporter is, I'm on his side. I know there's footage cut out, that said, the guy didn't really seem to be instigating anything and the people he was investigating sound shady as fuck.
Here's another article:
Sounds like a bunch of crooks running that place, stealing tax returns, selling cars with rolled back odometers and obviously misrepresenting their inventory.GAINESVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Investigative reporter Jeff Chirico took a blow to the chin while investigating a businessman charged with stealing customers' tax refunds.

Ten Tips to Help You Choose a Tax Preparer
A CBS Atlanta News undercover investigation found Richard Wilder, 43, of Braselton, operating a new business in Gainesville weeks after he was arrested by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office in September.
Wilder, who used to operate Braselton Used Auto Sales, was charged with seven counts of theft by deception and one count of racketeering for allegedly depositing customers' tax refund checks into an account and keeping the money.
Court records show Wilder was indicted in Gwinnett County for odometer fraud, forgery, computer theft and more in 2009 and 2010. He pleaded to two felony charges in 2011.
The Georgia secretary of state issued a cease and desist order against Wilder for running a used auto dealership without a license. But that didn't seem to stop Wilder or his family, who moved their business to Braselton and then to Gainesville.
An CBS Atlanta undercover producer found Wilder selling cars and offering to complete his tax return at EZ Auto Sales at 1608 Atlanta Rd. in Gainesville.
According to the secretary of state's website, Wilder is not licensed to sell used cars in Georgia.
Wilder would not answer Chirico's questions about his business.
Shortly after questioning Wilder, Chirico was approached by a man who called himself Donald Wilder, Richard Wilder's father.
As Chirico asked him questions about the business, Donald Wilder turned and punched Chirico in the chin, knocking him to the ground.
Chirico was not seriously injured.
Typical Beyond response though, if this was Deerfoot Suzuki and that happened to a reporter from a local outlet, everybody would be defending the reporter.
^^Wondered if anyone would side with the reporter....^^
If a guy showed up at Gallery of Fine Cars and started demanding answers but instead got a swift punch in the mouth by a grumpy old man You'd need a fleet of buses to carry the mob defending the reporter.
Not very often someone "deserves" a punch in the face.
Love how they word it, "valiant reporter"
is that the new word for "sissy little bitch that got punched out by an old man"
I don't know. Any idiot with half a brain can tell from the original video that the old guy is shady just from listening to what the little twat was saying. That doesn't change the fact the the reporter is an idiot who is harassing someone as they seem to think is their "heroic honor and right" to do.Originally posted by psycoticclown
Typical Beyond response though
I think reporters like that are nothing more than glorified paparazzi and deserve what's coming to them - regardless of who their target may be.

It'll be a cold day in hell before you see me defending a field reporter. 99.9% of them deserve a punch in the face, no matter who the scumbag is that they're "reporting" about.

I'd like to see what the response would be if it was an article about Sean Banerjee punching a reporter lol
Beyond responses to stuff like this is like religion, twisting and turning everything to suit one's purpose at the time.
In this situation, the reporter should have just "reported" the allegations, and stated that the owner refused to comment. But noooo, he had to keep on harassing him.Originally posted by Tik-Tok
