Nice computer, but out of my budget. Looking to spend around 200 or so. I should have posted a price range

Call vfxweb (near airport) or visit ERA dot ca (in Ogden), they have refurb systems in your price range. Look up the eBay seller "calgarycomputerwholesale" for even better deals, local pickup...

OP what do you plan on doing with it? It would be easier to figure out what you would need in a system.

This is pretty much what i do with my laptop and what i have for specs i would consider it your minimum (second gen i5, 8gb ram, SSD). Many older PC's will get you by but just because it does it, doesn't mean it'll do it fast.

    Then obtain windows....legally of course

    This too:

Seems like all the same seller. Maybe contact him

I use Vista on my HTPC, works fine no issues ...

(Vista solved most of their problems after SP2)

Heads up, thats the PC recycling place....all systems are booted up and if they "work" they are sold.

I've bought a few boxes from then and I've had to reinstall the OS in each occasion for various reasons.

At least my box is tested, wiped and OS reinstalled - shameless self promotion

What a douchebag I went to pick up a computer that he posted on Kijiji for $100, he tried to sell me it for $200, I showed him the ad and he refused to honor the listed price

Man that sucks. You think with a warehouse full of those boatanchors they would want to move one out of there...especially since they are decomissioned corporate machines. What a waste of a trip to the dump! Good luck with your search.

I have a Dell Dimension Core2Duo E6300 for you for cheap if you want...just PM me.

    Thanks,

    MR2SC88
