I recommend the guys over at Calgary Auto Spa. They did an excellent job on a few cars I sent their way, and customer service is top notch. They also do excellent 3M work at a very very reasonable price.
GTFO. Nobody and I mean NOBODY should ever let these guys attempt (I say attempt because they can't do it right) put 3M on your car. Leave that stuff to Shadow Tinting and other professionals. I saw the absolute worst install ever come from those guys with air pockets the size of tennis balls all over and more smaller ones than you can count. They shouldn't be offering this service at all.

    I've had 3M done by Shadow before...for $800

I gave them a try and they did a great job, comparable to the job that Shadow did using same 3M kit and everything...for HALF the price.

No, I meant AWOL - I am using the colloquial definition which means "something has gone wrong" which is derived from now-unused military acronym of Absent WithOut Leave.... AKA it now is used in common terms to mean something has gone where you didn't expect it...

Now back to some detailer-on-detailer mud wrestling! (chick only)

It speaks to the general stupidity of the masses to not understand the colloquial use of a word and the resultant down voting... So don't worry, you're in good company with the unwashed masses

All my cars x3 had their 3M done at Shadow with jarod personally. i dont let anyone else touch my cars besides him. I'll have a couple more this summer for him. I always go in and talk with him personally.

Jarod is absolutely the most amazing man to deal with ever.
Him as his boys have tinted all of my cars over the last 4 years, followed him from TI to shadow after his acquisition and not only that, I had him rewrap my entire car in 3M after it had to be peeled off following the hail storm of the summer. While it was there he did the windows, headlights, tailights and put vinyl in places overtop the 3M to ad depth to the look. Absolutely stunning eye to detail, and I think coming from someone picky like myself it should speak volumes about the quality of work. When I'm to busy I always refer my customers/friends/family there! A++

Here's right after I got it back:

You aren't even using the word colloquial in the right manner.

You say you're using the "colloquial definition" as if to say you're using an "alternative" definition. This is simply not right. AWOL isn't a colloquialism, it is an acronym. AWOL's meaning colloquially IE: in conversation, is "Absent without leave."

You're wrong. It's quite simple to see. Even for me, one of the drooling, babbling masses.

    ./colloquial
characteristic of or appropriate to ordinary or familiar conversation rather than formal speech or writing; ...

Eg: AWOL is used in FAMILIAL conversation to mean gone off the rails vs the FORMAL definition which is as an ACROYMN.

Don't worry I don't think less of you.

    What are you missing here?

You still seem to be a fair ways off from the correct BASE meaning of awol.

AWOL does not mean to "go off the rails." nor does it mean that "something has gone wrong"

You're still just hung up on your initial, wrongful definition of AWOL in your own mind

Don't worry tho, I don't think any less of you either.

I don't look forward to debating this with you any further. I have presented a fairly impeccable argument, and to be honest, yours is all sorts of flawed. Right from the start.

That's the third time you've undermined my intelligence all while getting your foot shoved so far down your throat you're starting to smell your own balls.

I know a victory when I see it.

    Peace.

    foot...so...far...smell...balls... Yes that makes sense...

Anyways, thanks for coming out as the world's worst attempted grammar nazi. You jumped in to critique a colloquial saying - Not my fault I handed you your balls.

tell your ESL teacher at Chinook I say hi! Let her know I am proud of you for getting a D.

amorak, give it up man lol.

Plus his "foot shoved so far down your throat you're starting to smell your own balls" comment makes complete sense. Think about it.

No matter what else has gone wrong in this thread, I'll have to agree about the foot/balls comment. It makes sense.

I'm not sure if any of you remember Ray (used to manage Johnny Rocket's back in the day, and do detailing in the back of WS auto) but he opened up a shop a year or two ago and everyone I know ( well those that have nice cars and appreciate a high quality detail) go to him!

He charges a very fair price for the quality of work he provides, around $60/hr and is very honest business person. If your car needs two hours, that is what he will put in and that is what he will charge you for! I usually give him a nice big tip because I think he under charges for his work and how he treats myself, my family and my friends!

If any of you decide to check him out, tell him Chris sent you!
