Headlight - 2 modes work, 1 doesn't
I never really wondered about a 'burnt out' headlight before now, but here's my situation: one of my headlights stopped working in headlight 'mode'. Meaning in that unit daytime-running mode still works and high-beam mode still works, but the nighttime/headlight mode it doesn't work.
Why does that happen?

The lightbulb would have 2 filaments, 1 for low and 1 for high. The low filament would blow out but the high is still there. The DRL runs off the high filament but at a lower wattage so it's not as bright

Learned something, thanks! Any recommendations for a good brand of replacement bulbs?
Also affordable, bright, and rangey (the perfect bulb of course on a budget lol)? I used to get OEM but looking to avoid labour charges now.

Most brands use Slyvannia as their OEM bulbs. Germans I believe use Bosch
