Anyone know, a shop or guy who could do a LS swap into a 86 944?
Source the motor too preferably.

Are there any mounts available? Fabrication would cost quite a bit of not..
How are you running the engine...on a factory ls ecu or aftermarket....
i would maybe be interested in something like that for a next winter project.....
pm me your budget and what you wish to accomplish.

Haha come on guys, to each their own.
this is what were talking about...correct? If so, i like them..
Always 944 hate lol
There is a conversion kit from renegade out of las Vegas, they'd do the swap too. I just really dont feel like sending it all the way down there.
If I was to do it again, I would've gone the LS1 route. Waaaay more bang for the buck than trying to get reliable power out if that 4 banger.

I love RWD 80s hatchbacks, and thus 944s.
I was || this close to buying that Gemballa 924S off Kijiji, but the SVO was cheaper and faster.
944 with a V8 would be dirty.
A little off topic...but I'm still looking for a 944 with a reliable 4 banger...hopefully this spring will yield some results.Originally posted by rage2

On topic....
A colleague was telling me about some people who swap buick V6 units into these 944's...
Is that an option ?
If gm could make a good v6, sure....but they dont.
way more bang for the buck with LS.

I'm not as much of an engine guy as most of you but it seems like a cool swap.

Reasons why Drumheller area wouldn't make a good race track venue...

AHH yes, totally forgot about that one. Ok, they DID make a good v6...lolOriginally posted by Nufy
