$500 is a fair price and including the free games now with XBL like PSN+ can stop lots of whining, also nice to have currency purchase instead of microsoft points.
When can we preorder though? Also, anyone have link to videos, can't find any.

Just FYI, futureshop will have their preorder game deal again this year, preorder 3 games and get $20 off each, but you have to do 3 per order, otherwise above that it is $10 off each.

Considering it comes with the Kinect device, it's a pretty decent price, as long as it IS actually $500 here in canada. Wouldn't put it past canadian retailers to pump up the price a bit.

$500 is fair consider current Kinect bundle is $300. BD drive + 500GB drive kinda worth the extra $200.

Probably better to preorder from ebgames if you want to pick it up in store. That's what I'd want to do.

I just pre-ordered it there to make sure I get one in case of shortages. I think Calgary usually gets shipments on launch day. You can always get one in-store then return the shipped one. You can always cancel it as well and they don't charge you until it ships.

I believe for the 360 launch, it arrived on launch date in the afternoon, where as if you went in person and camped overnight you'll get it by around 1am. I'm too old to camp outside hahaha. Pre-ordered.

edit - I'm not a fan of the ebgames pre-order, as each store has no clue how many they're getting in. If you're #5 on the list and they only get 4, you're SOL. FS and BB is your best chance at getting one quick if you don't want to line up. They are guaranteed a total initial shipment for web order warehouse, and will run the pre-orders out of stock when it hits that number.

Just like anything new coming out, there will be shortages, even if it's artificially created by Microsoft.

GTA V isn't a launch title and Forza I can always wait, especially if I have to buy a new wheel.

There isn't enough going at launch for this to be a much have.
