lol so basically the ones they converted for the Rare deal anyways
Its still a great effort. It should be remembered that the xbox to xbox 360 list sucked at launch and after a year or so i cant think of any game i tried that didn't work?

That controller is $180 on amazon. They had it listed at $90 originally but I missed it
^ I was reading today that it was specifically demoed without a price. Amazon will make their own estimates and adjust later. They just want to get peoples cc numbers down for later when they figure the logistics and orders out. They don't bill until they ship so its easy for them to overcharge.

I guess there are small companies out there doing controllers like that already and their controllers are $200 ish CDN and their customer service supposedly sucks ass. I wish that elite controller was out like right now cuz my existing stick is dead
It is $150 USD so $179.99 I think is correct now. People who got it for $90 amazon will honor that though which would have been great.Originally posted by killramos

looks like they added an audio port on the bottom. So maybe i wont have to use a headset adapter to have my turtle beach cans work.
i had to buy the COD controller a few months ago as i actually wore a groove in the thumbstick and it would hook and get stuck when all the way up while being pressed down (600hrs of running in COD)
The audio port is on all new controllers as well. You don't need the elite controller for that.
Backwards compatibility is up for preview members. I saw Toy Soldiers available for me to download.
Damn i was on for a couple hours and didnt see anything. I own hexic, geometry wars and a couple banjo kazooies so they should come up for me
Give me a reason to check out the games with gold on the 360 now since i can pull the free games over to my XOne now. There are probably a have dozen i have "bought" but never downloaded.

I tried watching the XBox E3 yesterday, and the feed through my XBO went crazy, gave me spanish language, and I couldn't understand a thing. I am interested in the backwards compatibility though, so I have a question. Does this mean that we can download XB360 games from the store, and play them on the XBO? Or do we need the discs from the games for licensing purposes?
Youtube had great coverage. That's where I watched it.Originally posted by ZMan2k2

It'll be like backwards compatibility on the 360. You can buy original Xbox games digitally through the store, or you can pop in a disc. I'm pretty sure you need the disc to "check" that you own it before launching.
Even with the disc, it downloads the emulator + game package. It doesn't actually run the disc natively. Each game needs to be packaged on the MS end with the emulator + settings to work properly.

This should answer some of your questions.

Thanks guys. Looks like I can buy 360 games, and my daughter can play those with her friends that haven't upgraded to the One yet. That's awesome!
The cool thing with backwards compatibility is that it's a full on XBOX 360 Emulation, including the dashboard, live, multiplayer, everything except USB devices while still running the Xbox One backend stuff such as screenshots, DVR, etc.

^^I was hoping that you wouldn't have to keep the disc in, but oh well. I saw that if you take the disc out the game exits. Will give a try though as I am a preview member. My shaw bandwidth is taking a beating though again this month...
Why did I sell all my 360 games!! Arghhh

Meh. I will continue to have 360s for years to come. No need to wait for enumeration on the One. Not like I have shit load of time on games anyway. GTA V online is enough.
No kidding. I'm pretty choked about that actually, I had over 20 games!

I haven't sold a video game since I traded in TMNT for NES and regretted it 3 months later.
