I've owned both single and double Diplomat watch winder and haven't had any issues on either one.

Only have the single now after having downsized my daily watches to 2.

Just make sure that you configure your winder for the right amount of turn and rotation for your watch.
ie I forgot that Miyota movement winds counter-clockwise only whereas Seiko can do both direction.

I have a diplomat double and I don't like it at all. To start it was great, but after a couple months of use the cylinders/watch holder things got a little bit of play in them and they made a clicking sound with every rotation. Given that it was in our master bath, it was quite frustrating to have that thing start clicking away in the middle of the night. I guess if you want to turn it off before bed and on every morning this wouldn't be an issue.

I never did buy another winder. The diplomat still holds my watches, but I wind them by hand. Dont bother buying a diplomat, theyre just shit.

If you're a real baller you'll browse the layoff thread and hire someone to come by every couple days. Mechanical winders are so pedestrian.

    I've got this guy
    https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Watch-winder...kAAOSwUC1bXhu1
Bought it from China on ebay, been solid for me for the last 6 years. It's a little noisy but it was like $350 and has been a workhorse for me

You can occasionally pick up Wolf winders on massdrop for a pretty decent price

Saw a few Wolf winders at Homesense by Market Mall in November ish. ~$500 ish for a triple. Great price but wife wouldn't let me buy it. Don't think they have it anymore but maybe this means they will stock it once in a while.

Oh they have the Wolf winders at the Homesense by MM? How long ago was this? I did some research and those are always in the top 10 for watch winders.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Yeah I've been looking at them, they look very very nice and the quality is supposed to be up there as well. Where did you get yours from if you don't mind me asking? So far I've seen them on amazon.

I own a single Wolf. They are really nice. I can't remember which jewelry store I ordered it from.
Hmmm I should sell mine...it's just sitting in the closet. There's a couple for sale on Kijiji.

I have a single wolf winder. It's super nice, got it at J Vair. Which is under new ownership (I haven't been there in 2 years) was surprised. Not sure if I would go back with the new owners.

when did new ownership kick in? and what exactly is wrong with it if you don't mind me asking.

I think it was a year ago that he sold it. With the previous owner, we would chat and discuss watches. Lots of knowledge and he was willing to budge on the price. Bryn is still there which is a good thing! But with the new staff, I find that they were too young and inexperienced to be selling fine watches. Not the experience I would want if I was gonna drop some good money on a nice watch. Was there anything wrong with my last purchase at J vair? No. My friend made an very fair offer on a watch that he wanted for years. TAG (asked for 15% off) they declined, so we bought my watch winder and left.
