    Default Yet Another AndyL Thread

Maybe he deserves his own forum???

More props for Andy as he recently installed a Liftmaster 3800 for me. Super easy to deal with, contacted him on Monday, he installed Friday and I couldn't be happier. Everything is running smooth and quiet just the way I wanted.

Thanks Andy, even my wife was blown away at how smooth and quiet everything is.

    Thanks

You should post a picture; I was meaning to take one before I left... That's gotta be one of the nicer tuck the wiring away jobs I've managed (Yeah sorry TomcoPDR - I got his a little cleaner).

New house with the typical opener wiring drops, managed to not have to surface mount anything but what wasn't possible (ie the solenoid lock, and the cable tension monitor) Even got the bundle of cat5 splices at the center hidden under the light fixture.

That and most don't have a clue what a 3800 is

I'll see if I can post some pictures this weekend, it really is a very clean install! I was quite impressed how it turned out as I was expecting to have the wires stapled to the drywall when I realized I forgot to specify to the builder I was doing a side mount opener. No issues with the CFL's either, I've installed them in the wireless fixture, the keyless lights in the garage, and the fixtures on the exterior of the house where one is right on the other side of the wall from the opener, it opens/closes every time lights on or off.

Thanks A790, it's all your fault...

Hey 5.9RT when can I pop back and fix that light? OMG it's already driving me nuts being out of square like that.

Didn't want to start a brand new thread (as he already seems to come up in a ton) so I'll hijack 5.9 R/T's instead!

This review got me in touch with Andy and he just wrapped up 2 3800's and a high-lift conversion for me this weekend. Big thumbs up! Very easy to work with and does a great job! I didn't have the nice outlets by the garage spring to work with so we had to make do with an extension cable. But the end result was what I was hoping for. Super quiet operation (wife and daughter are very happy about that) and room for a lift now Got a couple of referrals coming your way man, thanks again!

Also wanted to mention the guy is a machine, he probably worked 7 hours straight, never saw him stop once. Not to eat, rest, bathroom whatever. The guy runs on coffee or something.
