Is it me, or have WetJet staff gone full retard?

Everytime I fly to Vegas, and sometimes on the way back, the flight staff think they are fucking comedians. Trying to be funny, going on and on with their annoucnements trying to turn them into a commedy routine.

Once, they even did the fucking Gangnam dance down the isle.

Honestly, I think it just depends on the flight crew you are flying with. I've flown with WestJet quite a bit the past year and found the flights pleasant.

I just realized that most of the flights I took were in the early morning or late evening so maybe that's why the flight attendants did not bother trying to be funny.

They've had that kind of leeway for a long time. I suspect you get more of these "over the top" crews on the vegas flights though.

I dunno, I don't see any of the actions you describe as being any more ridiculous than the federally mandate mine show that every carrier does.

Really Toma? Really? I don't know if you are just getting old or going crazy lol. Why would you complain about great service with a smile and some jokes. Join in the fun and stop being a grumpy old man. They lighten the mood to make the flights more enjoyable and relaxing so you can have a great time with them and it also makes it easier to interact with them if you are a shy person. Lol sometimes you crack me up lol

Grumpy Toma .... but you know what ? I agree. We cant wear headsets prior to liftoff so there is no avoiding the "show" they put on.

But this is done to relax the typical air traveler who has no idea what makes the airplane not fall out of ther sky and supposedly help their mood.

Haha the jokes are always so stupid... But the girls are usually super nicce.. I flew like 10 times with them in the past year and they've been good. On my way home from florida they gave me free beef jerky because i asked for napkin to spit my gum in and another flight they let me buy a bunch of beers at once, and then brought them to me when i would finish the last one even if the cart wasn't near me...

i hope the beef jerky isn't alway free lol..

They've done their "comedy" routines since the begining. I remember hearing their same announcement jokes ( "and the smoking section is out the emergency exit on the wing" *queue laugh track* ) 15 years ago, on damn near every flight I took, lol.

The only time I really laughed was when the girl had finished the safety briefing in English and said "K guys, I've been practicing my French and I'm still not very good but they're giving me a chance so go easy on me" and proceeds to play the automated French message.

Otherwise I tend to just tune them out.
