Anyone else stoked for this?? I really enjoyed the first one and was surprised the sequel took as long as it did. Codemasters said it was always in developement but they needed to wait for technology to advance for their vision to be achieved. They also took out the cockpit view which doesn't bother me any.

    May 31/ 2013. 3 months. Can't wait.

Grid I found was a little too arcadey for me. I miss the old days from codemasters like TOCA and Colin McRae.

I enjoyed the first one, it was a nice light break from some of the more sim-ey racers. Will be checking this one out too, hopefully they release a demo for it.

Getting rid of the cockpit view might be a dealbreaker though.

If you take anything I have to say seriously, you're gunna have a bad time.

Grid was an awesome game. Right down to the small things like the graphical styling of the menus.

I got this yesterday for PC.

    PROS:

    Nicer graphics than Grid
Tracks morph from lap to lap --> a left turn can become a right turn in a future lap
    Split screen multiplayer

    CONS:

    Story sucks
    No cockpit view
    Handling is worse than Grid

I absolutely loved Grid 1.. But I am extremely disappointed there is no Demolition Derby in Grid 2. That was the absolute best part for online multiplayer! I don't think i'll be playing #2 because of this.

The demolition in showdown sucked ass.. hard ass.

Personally I didn't use the cockpit view but demolition mode was cool. I hope its very close to to grid cause that was one of my favorite all time games.
