Yeah, The aventador was great for about 5 minutes. Completely redoing the v12 to be one of the lowest power supercars was a daft move. This will be competition for the P1, but McLaren held it back for a reason...
This should be faster than the Huayra, but will it get tested in time...Took them quite a while to get an Enzo.

Yes, they did a complete redo on the v12 only to have it immediately outclassed by the F12 (740hp). All of the very expensive competition has more too, like the Agera and Huayra, and Porsche 918, and now this. I mean price aside for a second, it's their "flagship"v12 car.
I'm just saying that they dropped the ball. The Aventador is the little boy on the block in every way now. Crazy that 700hp isn't cutting it now, but it really isn't. I mean you get right around 650hp from 3 domestic cars now.
Never mind the inevitable F12 something or other special edition...
I'm sure Lambo will bring out one too, but typically they were doing 10hp increments.
On topic, did I miss an official weight in there...?
Edit.... 1.365 tonnes is 3008lbs...not as light as I thought it would be.

Well IMO the aventador isn't as racy as the competition and it is also only like $400k, while the others are around $1mm+. Instead of making an actual halo car like everyone else they just make a couple very limited run vehicles with similar specs and different bodies for collectors. That was my figuring on why it isn't the best comparison.

Agreed, the F12 is the only one that really is comparable. The rest are really hyper cars, all in the $1m range.
