Eh. Common issue. Pin fitment loosens over time causing it to melt. the "fix" is a new connector from ford. (3u2z-14s411-zmb)
Ford just recalled Max tow axels on all 21+ trucks...
Some articles say 2019-2021,some say 2021 and newer. Maybe both or maybe just bad reporting. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

anecdotes are best 'dotes? Highest selling truck, not surprising when it hits the news. No idea if the rate of issues per million is higher or lower. Always disappointing when an issue hits the truck you own, my truck has been solid.

The latest OTA caused ford pass app not to start my truck from the app. A guy just remoted into my truck and fixed the issue….
So who got a year end discount on a new Ford?
I can eat more hot wings than you.
I got a $750 offer in my email. These are good, and don’t go out to everyone. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

They are super explicit in them. Log into your Ford account to read it if you don't have the paper in front of you. Likely worth less on different models, maybe zero. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Question for everyone, hopefully some with experience.
I have a '21 lariat 2.7 and I have a set of rough country coilover lift "2"" for the front, not sure if there are blocks for the rear I'll have to check the boxes. I'm debating installing these as I'm worried the dealer will void warranty on other components.
For history, my truck has had intermittent grinding noises from the front end. At about 32k kms they rebuilt the front diff. At 45km kms they replaced the IWE actuators as they were "falling apart"
I bought extended warranty on this thing, total coverage is 6 year powertrain and 6 year bumper to bumper. (i.e. 3 year extension on bumper to bumper and 1 year extension on powertrain)
Do I need to worry that if I install this lift the next time the IWE or front diff fail they will blame these components? Appreciate the inputs.

Bueller...

My opinion is that aftermarket suspension parts are a reasonable reason to deny warranty on that part.
Of course, it's not my opinion that matters. Are dealers penny-pinching shitbags, or are they generous and easily fooled? Hard to fact-check that idea.

Did the rear brakes on my '18 today. Replaced the rotors and pads. First time doing my own brakes but it was pretty straight forward, hardest part was getting the original and rusted on rotors off, that was a pain in the ass.
