12:1 CR is no joke.

Yes. The truck V8 from factory is hilariously neutered to protect eco boost sales. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Probably more to help fuel economy or to help durability. I'll bet profit margin on both engines is similar. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

My '16 occasionally has some weird front-end vibration when cold still. I replaced the iwe vacuum check valve to little result, and have had it in to dealers twice to no result. :/
I’ve had a lot of stub axle and wheel bearing+IWE warranty repairs done on them. 75% of 2015+ F150 I buy go in for it I’d say, even as new as 19s.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I gotta figure out my tire strategy. I want to end up, maybe in a year or so, with a set of tires that are "mostly" for summer towing, and another set that is for around town in the winter.
So if the truck comes with 275/55R20 "all-season" P-metric tires from factory, and I can buy either 20" or 18" factory take-offs from the kijiji machine, what 2nd set of tires am I buying first?
I mean, I like sidewall, so maybe I want the 18" tires, and maybe, for summer, I want the extra sidewall for driving on rougher gravel roads. And maybe I want E-range load index because I'll be mostly towing, and the E-range tires handle the gravel better anyway. That make some sense to you guys? I know UrbanX can get me whatever I want.

Might want to keep an eye out for the 17” wheels too with the 245 tires for winter. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Much, much cheaper. My last truck had the 17’s with studded Nokians and it was good. Like really good in the winter.
Should get a little better mpg too.

1 set of duratracs. /thread
Jokes aside, I think going 18 in the winter is a better bet, 20’s will be fine for towing in the summer.
I think?
I agree with you though, I paid extra for 18’s on my truck lol. I don’t get the rubber band truck tire phenomenon.

I "needed" the 20" wheels because that included some minor improvements to suspension not available with 18" wheels. The way the packages are set up is weird.
One thing people who tow complain about with p-metric tires is the sidewall flex. But, with 55 series tires, there ain't much sidewall to flex.....

I didn’t notice that your stocks are P metric, that’s weird for the crazy tow rating mobile. Even my off road corvette came with LT’s (albeit C’s).
I probably change my mind then, use the P’s for dadmobile usage. Buy new 18’s with 10 plys.
