Anyone else thing it’s funny how this thread alternates between 2 topics:
“Man these Ford engines are lemons, they are all guaranteed to need to be overhauled after a few years”
And
“Ooooo look, Ford is selling their trucks for cheap again! Let’s buy them!”
There is very intentionally no temporal overlap of these topics.

Pretty similar to other brands, I think. Owners discuss issues, not surprising.

I just find it entertaining. Carry on.

Honestly, our plan was to finance a Taco for the misses, but this deal is hard to pass on, especially for someone already truck shopping. Let the record show I would in no way shape or form buy one of these outside of this cheap lease, lol

I agree with both these statements, except lease instead of buy. Only short term rent is acceptable for these IMO.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Towing a 6k lb, 28' trailer with a 2.7EB wouldn't be a good idea i dont think. I'm still tempted.

this deal has gotta be hurtin' resale on used units
The 2.7L EB is good for it, but the suspension they put under them is usually not.

Really tempted but have been WFH since March so if anything should probably just get rid of one vehicle instead of trying to get another one that would likely be underused until Fall most likely..
Anyone here looking at XLT 302a? They now come with LEDs, push start, etc so a bunch of stuff they never had before, which is nice. Should be close to $100/month less than the Lariat?

Im considering pulling the trigger on this one. Would be either trading in or trying to private sale a 03 2500hd w/ 277k kms so not sure if ford would even take that on a trade. Will prob get in touch with a dealer here in edmonton to confirm the deal and options.
Tap, Rack, BANG!
How do you get one of those private deals?

You'll most certainly be able to sell for more privately @littledan
Just to see, I contacted the local Ford dealer to me to get them to quote out the same truck as I was originally going to order, they came back at $41 bw more than my friend quoted me at. Gave the other place all the same info and options, x plan etc.
The sales rep said we're price $500 over invoice, I don't understand how we can be so far apart.
My original build was only adding fx4, 20" wheels & upgraded sound. $247 bw
Other dealership quoted same truck @ $288 bw.
Damn dealership games.
I ended up changing my build and added power boards and twin panel roof. Wife likes those features, especially the roof. Happy wife, happy life they say.
$261.xx bw. Still cheaper than the other quote.
