The new ranger is huge too. My quick google-fu shows that the new maverick is 5 inches narrower and 10 inches shorter than the current ranger.

I thought it shared a chassis with the Escape? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It looked big while I was passing it. I guess I should say, I was expecting it to be the size of the older Rangers, before they hit the steroids. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I figured it'd be Ridgeline sized.

Maverick is very slightly larger than the old Rangers. The Santa Cruz is the one that I thought was way bigger than I expected.
Well, my build was moved ahead in the queue by a week. So I'll take that as a promising sign.
Heard back from my guy. The 2022 Raptor order that we were told would come at the end of February has once again been delayed without an ETA. They said, the Limited is still schedule for delivery last week of February. So the decision might be made I guess we will see. On a side note, my buddy who ordered a 2021 Raptor is being told that he will get it first week of February. He doesn't want it anymore and offered it to me, which I passed because why would I get 2021 in 2022 for MSRP. Sounds stupid to me.
Saw one today. Honestly meh from 2nd gen. The lines of the bigger fenders get lost with the new body style. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Well.. MSRP is a good deal these days, isn’t it?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
You could resell for what you paid in 6 months.
What’s MSRP anyway?
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

This one is being bought mostly for my dad's use and he will keep it long term so I think over the years it might become a factor.
Have you seen the prices of used Raptors? Even 1st gen raptors.... I dont think you need to worry about it keeping its value long term...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Let's be serious, he doesn't care about resale. He says he caress, but it's never stopped him from moving on to the next car. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The last 2021 Raptor would have been built on Nov 14th, 2021. It doesn't take 3 months to get from Dearborn to Calgary. Has it been sitting waiting for a microchip?
Job 1 on the 2022 Dearborn trucks was Nov 15th. Raptor is only built at the DTP and not in Kansas.

But he is getting it at MSRP… so clearly it’s a lease return, not a new build 2021This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I've got a Tremor I ordered in October that started production Jan 12 sitting in a lot waiting on chips. Was supposed to be delivered on Feb 6 but now Ford tracking shows an estimated delivery of May 26.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Likely everything is going to be pushed out.
So you're saying the possibility of the 2022 Limited getting pushed back is also real?
In that case, the 2021 Raptor that is almost here is going to the be the best choice.
Your dealer can probably take a look to see if there are any status updates but in my case (and many others on a different forum) are seeing delays due to chips. Lots of trucks built just sitting there.
well, after 10 years of owning F-150 trucks, I finally got my first check engine light on Wednesday morning.
First thing I found out, a check engine light (CEL) isnt called that anymore, it is now called a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). Someone hated their mother in law so much they decided to change the CEL to matching acronyms.
Took the truck to Cam Clark in Airdrie. They had to data log it and found a P2C22 code. Something about an exhaust valve. They can't fix it, parts are on back order, but they assure me that the truck is OK to drive. No idea how long it is going to take for parts to come in.

They don't want to insinuate that the owner is capable of "checking" anything.
