That’s the problem with them making smaller trucks, they have to a price range that works. To me that 2 door truck is worth 30-35k on its best day. 2012 when I bought my last truck there was no smaller trucks so I got a great deal, now it’s a dream.

So a V8 stripper drag truck from Ford is $52,425, Chevy is $50,699 (but down 50 hp from the others), and Dodge at $37,341. At least one is reasonable for the 1 sale nothing equipped they make per year in Canada.

In the late 90s and early 2000s the S10s and Sonomas were more expensive and had higher payloads than the Chevy 1500s of the time. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I don’t think anyone was debating Chrysler products aren’t cheaper

Why though? What are they doing right that the others cannot? I like Fords too but they are fucking gouging, or on the brink of failing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If your take is that every truck is identical value, then you are an outlier in the market. Ram commands lower prices and it ain't because of anything they are doing right.

Also, I've never been a Ram guy, never known anyone who had a Ram, but I know that 90% of the used trucks on Kijiji on any given day are Rams.
That's probably not a good sign.
I can eat more hot wings than you.
We got to demo an f150 lightning today at work. Thinking about potentially adding one to our fleet next year for a patrol vehicle. Cant believe how fast the get up and go is on it. Was a Lariat model with the extended battery package and some of the highest end Whalen technology package done by Range Mobility.
First time ever trying an EV and its something else. There is a Police Responder package but we may get a deal if we buy this one...

As far I remember, Chrysler (or whatever hedge fund owned them at the time) and GM both received loans that were paid back. Not exactly a bailout, in the Quebec corporation sense. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Actually, 99% of the frequent warranty visits on trucks I’ve had the last 20 years have been Fords. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I had to do some reading to refresh my memory. Yes, the initial loan was written off when Chrysler declared bankruptcy. That’s when FCA started with Fiat and got a second loan that was paid back. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Its fine when the warranty is there. I'm not a big fan of MDS lifter failure at 120k.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

My ram was engine-transmission was flawless. Body was starting to rust so I ditched it. Leather or vinyls piece was wrecked too, but my navigator is doing the same.
Ford power train is the reason I’d prefer ford, but I’ll buy the best value for my money.
