I bought my 13 FX4 brand new 2 years ago and had to replace the rear diff with only 500km on it. since then I have but 75,000km on it with no issues but all the stories have me worried so its getting traded in next week for a "recession fighter".

Great, now Rich is going to tell you that you didn't get a great deal like he did, and you are stupid for not buying his practically new truck with "many upgrades".

Took my winter wheels off over the weekend. Sure is nice to get back on the Pirelli's. I have Blizzaks for winter, and while they are fantastic in winter months...they were getting quite squishy with all this Spring weather.

Has anyone installed an oil filter relocation kit on their Ecoboost? Have an oil change coming up and would like to install one at that time.

do you have your eyes on one? I would love to get one as the stock location fucking sucks to get at.Originally posted by Maxx Mazda

Boosted life tip #329
Girlfriends cost money
Turbos cost money
Both make whining noises

Going to make my own. Mopac has all the trans-dapt kits in stock, I just need to measure what size and thread the Ecoboost is. Had one on my S10 and loved it. You can even upgrade to dual filters should you so choose.

Anyone done a bypass filter? Those seem pretty kickass, and over time will pull a lot of junk out of the oil.
Like a catch can you mean? There are several options out there. I forget the brand, but it's a single can that does both sides of the PCV system. Mucho deniero though! $$$

Did one on an old truck of mine a few years ago. IMO it's not really worth it unless you're on the road a lot, like towing stuff all day for work. Only real benefit would be so you can really extend oil changes, and I'm comfortable with regular intervals anyway.Originally posted by RealJimmyJames

Thanks for the 14 years of LOLs. Govern yourselves accordingly and avoid uppercut reactions!
dude... curious... how often have you seen a cam phaser/timing chain issue with the ecoboost and even condensation problems?Originally posted by Rat Fink
I still don't get how you guys think the stock oil filter location is so bad. Laying down or standing up underneath the truck, you can get to it just fine. I sure as shit wouldn't be adding a bunch of aftermarket crap to relocate the filter to somewhere else. They even made a quick access in the rubber flap between the body and the skid plate to get to it
The drip tray works fine on your hoist at work where the vehicle is level... Try an oil change with a set of ramps and tell me if you still feel the same way...Originally posted by Rat Fink

What's the deal with climate control actuators? Same book time I'm reading online?
Has anyone done the climate control actuators yet? 6.5 hr book time for a 75dollar part, thinking of doing it myself but don't want to actually take out the whole dash.
