My 2015 F150 w/Max tow package is in need of new rear brake pads soon. Original brake pads is on the truck now. I noticed on RockAuto that there are a number of Motocraft rear brake pads available for trucks with mechanical parking brakes:

    MOTORCRAFT BRF1550
    MOTORCRAFT BR1602A
    MOTORCRAFT BRSD1602 (severe duty pads)

I am leaning toward getting the severe duty pads. Anyone know what the BRF1550 is? and why they would have this different parts number for the same truck?

I don't have it in front of me but did that year come with different axles for different packages? Like the HDPP or max tow might have been different axles?
Could ask on the FTE forums.
Ended up ordering the MOTORCRAFT BRF1550 as I found out that it is the OEM part. The other parts are service replacement parts which usually are not as long lasting. Will replace the pads when I switch out my winter tires.

That's insane. You've got the Powerboost?
I have lifetime fuel economy down to 11.7l/100km with the 2.7L in Eco mode for almost all of the time.

My 3.5 Eco with the big trailer mirrors never stays under 10 for any longer highway drives. Actual highway average is more like 11.5. Noticed I ALWAYS get much better fuel economy coming home than going out, no matter where I'm headed. Sometimes I'm driving up into the mountains, but suspect it's more based on my psychology at the start of a trip than anything else.

2.7, regular mode as well. I hate that eco mode completely kills the use of the turbos

    For those of you wondering...

This is my trip from basically the YYC airport to West Edmonton Mall on Wednesday in my Powerboost. As you can see, because it is mostly all highway at about 120kph, there are very few electric KM except where we stopped in Red Deer for lunch and once we arrived in Edmonton.

Still, it's not bad for the 3.5L EB and a little heavier than a normal F150.

The magnetic attraction of the fuel in your tank back to it’s mother always makes for better mileage to Edmonton versus away from Edmonton.

Pretty good but there was also a strong tailwind heading North Wednesday, I did the same journey and had noticeably better economy than normal.

maybe, i cant say for certain, but a quick google-fu of the day shows wind coming out of the NWN at about 15kph.... Not really a tailwind for the 23rd... but who knows, i dont really understand too much about meteorology. I will head out later and snap a pic of the whole trip, there and back and post it up too.

    Still not bad.

The 2.7 truck was great on the highway, locking it in 7th or 8th, H2 was anywhere from 9.5-10.5 average.

As soon as there was any headwind at all, just dropped like a rock. Also for some reason, the truck used a ton of fuel below -5*c even when not idling it lots for warm up.

My numbers are all at 110.

My 2014 3.5 EB threw a P0390 code the other day. Camshaft position sensor B circuit (bank b). The funny thing is that my truck wasn't running rough either under load or idling. After about an hour and a half of driving the code went away. From doing some research it seems like if it was actually an issue with timing my truck would be running like shit but because it wasn't its likely a sensor issue which could be something as simple as my PCM not getting a signal within a few seconds after cranking it. Does it sound like I am on the right path? This is all with an OBDII scanner, so I am just trying to decide if its worth it to throw it on a computer to get more info when there doesn't seem to have any issues with how its running and the light is gone.

I have a couple, including one that will honor X-plan pricing if you have access to it.

I have a guy at Cam Clark. He's pretty chill, so if you have time for him to get back to you within 1-2 business days, he's good. If you need an answer Saturday at 4pm, he's not. Not sure if corporate sales count for the referral money, but if they do, you can have $600 from it. Send me your name, phone number and email and I'll get him to contact you.

Trucks are in really short supply, lots of fleet orders are not getting filled. I know one large rental fleet that just bought 2x 2019 trucks because they can't get enough 2022's.

everytime i drive past the dealers in town it seems to be mostly fleet trucks. if you drive by the dodge dealers they are stacked with tons of trucks while all others are in short supply.
I'm always in the market for a truck, i'm to cheap to pull the trigger though.

Further to this, apparently this company has orders in for 1700 vehicles right now, and would put in another 500 if the manufacturers would accept the order. They currently expect the orders to be a combination of heavily delayed or cancelled.

Went up to Edmonton the end of March to the mall. Noticed the Dodge and Chev dealers up there had what looked like full lots of trucks while the Ford lot had 3...

I’d be happy to drive a dodge again, but I’m not paying 72k when they have tons on the lots. Ford has a good excuse for charging what they want. I’m going to look hard in the next couple months for a deal on any truck, or electric car. Yes not comparable but I’m looking for some change.
