It's weird, I have the FX4 skid plates, which might not be very functional, but at least they are steel. Then there's this fabric thing further back, basically around the tail of the transmission. Can't imagine it deadens much sound back there, maybe it smoothes the airflow? Is that what it's for?

Parts are ordered for the wiper motor, and hopefully they can address the Sync issue at the same time. I want to use the whole damn screen for AA!This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Add my 2017 Raptor to the "F150 needs a fix" pile. Good old ford couldn't spot the cracked (in multiple spots) drivers side valve cover while under their warranty even though i told them twice that the front skid plate was collecting a small amount of oil from somewhere. Parts on backorder. no ETA. know of 4 others waiting on the same part. Thank god the previous owner purchased the aftermarket warranty. oh well.....shit happens.
I’ve got a 5L F150 right now that needs cats, also no ETA. Same with the wiper motor recall, no eta for parts as well.
I have heard from various sources that they wiper motors are being prioritized to 2022 sitting on lots that they cant sell because of the recall. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
after they get dealt with then other trucks will get the parts... but who know...
So far on mine I've got the wiper recall, headliner/glass roof rattle, and some weird rubbing/grinding noise from front end that may be IWE, axles, diff, or transmission. '21 502a 2.7 4x4
Tap, Rack, BANG!
The 7L engine that I mentioned was being replaced under warranty still has no ETA for arrival and so far the rental car bill that Ford is footing is up above $6k with budget lol.
I picked up another factory order F150 3.5 eco from Cam Clark at the start of the month to boot around the city for work. When you place the vehicle in park the transmission does not engage and it rolls back if you are on an incline. Had to chase after the truck and jump in to hit the brakes this weekend lol. POS hasn't even reached 1,000 kms and she is going into the dealership tomorrow to get looked at because who wants to activate the parking brake every time that you park . It also seems to get stuck in first gear, revs high and then shifts into 2nd and 3rd really hard so will see what they say...

This thread is very different than the GMC truck thread.
As beater as it was, I miss my 2500hd w/ the 6.0.
Rumble rumble, fill gas, rumble rumble, new $160 windshield, rumble rumble... fill gas...
Man what a great truck.

Anyone running a catch can on their ecoboost?
Ive seen a couple posts from guys in the states running them and they collect quite a bit of oil. I think I read somewhere they changed from full direct injection back to partial port injection, so im not sure if its really needed anymore?
"Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary… That’s what gets you."
The new engines have both port and direct injectionThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yea its not necessary on the new models (2021 and newer I think? Maybe 2020). The older ones like my 2014 would benefit from it though

Just trying to help a buddy he has a 2015 3.5 ecoboost 180k km, it won’t start sometimes. The indicator light for park does not show at startup, key turn on does not do anything, no click nothing. Any common repairs??
He had a 1700$ repair done for this already that has not fixed it, he thinks the lead frame??? Was done.
Column shift or console shift? Try just bumping the shifter up towards park. Sometimes they get loose and fall out just enough to be in between park and reverse. Happened on a bucket truck I used in a previous life.
Console shift. It’s a xlt crew cab long box to be more specific.
