I’m really excited for the hybrid.

This sounds weird, but I’m hoping for a 2.3L hybrid. 310/350 on engine and 400/500 combined.

But, more than likely we’ll see the 493/600 3L EcoBoost hybrid like the Lincoln, and only in platinum/limited trims.

I hope they don’t limit production to the super expensive trims. A smaller hybrid in XLT form is where I’m at. Something about trucks and mpg tickles my fancy!

Phev F150 that gets ~20 km all electric range would be really interesting to me.

Don’t short change it. 30-50km is where they should shoot for.

Most last generation PHEV are 15-30 miles, so I can see a 12-14kW battery taking us 30km under light driving.

Yeah, I suspect it'll be more, but for me, 20 km is plenty. But then again, I live 3.9 km from work . . .

It’s also a truck, gonna take a lot of batteries to move a half ton around for 50km. And you don’t want to neuter payload in The process and make it useless.

I agree with ES, a high EV Range is not the number to chase here.

It’ll only be quoted unladen. You’ll never see economy or range numbers with a load.

Therefore, they’re free to say - hey look in the most economic format (single cab, 2wd) we see xx kms of range.

I don’t care for an EV range when loaded, the motor won’t be capable of that.

Not what I mean. I mean hundreds of lbs of Batteries needed to give it 50km of unladen range never disappears and effectively reduces the payload of the truck all the time. This is already a big problem with the amount of tech and toys in trucks these days. With electric motors, toys, the base engine, PLUS all the batteries needed to give it tons of EV range you end up with a half ton with the payload rating of a Jeep Wrangler.

Oh I see. Yes, very fair statement - good call.

My 18 Fx4 f150 did that. My Raptor does it intermittently as well. Rear spare clunking around. Plus it's a floating axel as well. Nothing to really worry about.
I guess, I'm just getting really annoyed, between the cold start rattle/indexing noise (I think the cam phasers will need to be replaced), the incessant rattle from the back seat area and now this rear suspension clunk. Damn Ford, my previous truck (2015 Sierra) didn't have any rattles, creaks or clunks after 3 years 60K km's, starting to doubt my move to Ford.

Stay in there. I seem to be following in your truck footsteps lol, but my ‘18 is at 45km now and still perfect!

Well, I noticed a tiny squeak rattle thing. Will monitor and update if it gets worse.

so... someone please confirm this with me.

F150 - Tire wear is typically on the back being RWD with hard acceleration with a light load and or just alot of highway driving... but will have more front tire wear if in the city with stop and go?

I have tires i'm going to put on that are 2mm different in the front/rear set and just want to confirm but that is the type of wear I'm seeing... (of course the shoulders are more worn on the front axel set)

I have a healthy mix of highway and city with a fair chunk of that highway being stoney or deerfoot. I always see rear tires wear on my truck more than the front regardless of if I put on 2000km that month on the highway or 1000 in stop and go.

Rear tires wear faster in city too. But you want best ores on steering/braking axle....

The overall wear for me was rears, but the biggest difference was that the rears would wear down in the centre (over inflation) and the fronts on the shoulders (under) for the same placard PSI.

Unless you have a really bad alignment it’s generally the rear tires wearing quicker on a truck.
