what size box? I have the 6.5 box, and a quad fold hard cover, but I think I am going to be looking to swap to a canopy. I know most trucks out there are the 5.5 box, but I really wanted the bigger box this time around. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Also, talk to Bob at Urban X north, he can get them at some pretty good prices!

Damn. Ive got the 5.5 footer.
I've been eyeing up the Undercover Armor Flex. Seems like a bit of a price premium but its built with line-X so looks very durable and has 5 year warranty.
I had the Undercover flex on the taco and liked it, though I thought it was pretty flimsy on the outside and I had to replace it after a hail storm. The Armor Flex looks way more durable, and its designed to open/close the tailgate with the cover down.

I had the backflip on my last truck and went with the revolver x2 on this truck because I found myself folding it up on the regular and I absolutely hated not being able to see out the back window. I feel like this one won’t last as long and I don’t think I could walk on it like I did on the backflip.

I had the Revolver X2 on one of my trucks once and that was enough. while driving on highway 22, it was a pretty windy day like usual there and the cover popped open and lifted up into the air almost flipping forward and hitting my roof. it slammed back down into the truck bed broke the clips that lock it in place. I was able to get it tied down and made it home but ended up replacing it with a flip style. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

^ holy crap.
I wonder why it wasn’t locking into the channels properly to prevent something like that from happening. Mine locks all the way down the bed rail.

With all the f150's on here have you guys ever done any type of meet?

I had the MX4 and got rid of it because i wanted the gloss look of the Ford oem trifold one and that was a major mistake because it has that shitty rubber lip at the back which requires you to open the last panel to close the tail gate. The mx4 was nice because it allowed you to shut the tailgate without having to open the cover first.
If you didnt get mats yet check out the 3d max spiders, nicest looking mats by far
I was just on the 22 a week ago to fernie and they should almost not allow any type of trucks with trailers. Passed a guy with what looked to be an enclosed 20 footer freshly blown into the ditch and there was a semi with trailer on its side a couple kms downThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I would advise against it. A lot of the posters are absolute cancer.
I was also banned for expressing my opinion about something.
I'm on Ford-trucks.com. Nice site. Very few locals. Good technical assistance if you can wait a few days for the old guys to show up.

Forgot to mention @OTown , get the front bumper covered in PPF immediately. The f150's painted bumpers are horrible for chipping

mine locked all the way as well but I think the air pressure was so strong that it broke the plastic clips that lock the back end down to the side rails. once the back clips come out, the spring loaded side rails just pop up to allow the rest of the cover to unlock. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Thanks! Yep 3M install is scheduled. Got Husky mudguards on the way and found a decently priced durable tonneau cover. Now I'm broke lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
So it turns out Truckcessories on Edmonton trail sells a product made by the same company as Bakflip/Undercover (Truck Hero) that's fibreglass and slightly glossy but completely scratch and dent resistant. It also has the back tailgate open/shut seal so you dont need to close the tailgate before the cover. Called Bakflip HD (theres been a few versions, they have a model in store), comes with a 5 year warranty. The thing is a beast and its $1150 for a better product thats way cheaper than the Bakflip F1 (1400) MX4 (1300) and the Undercover ArmorFlex (1380) that I was eyeing up. Worth a look if you are in the market, they have a model version in the showroom and it looks really well built and easy to install. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Kind of a thing to make a discussion. Anyone believe there is a "must do" upgrade to these trucks? Personally, I think the bilstein 5100 rear shock upgrade is a must on the aluminum trucks. It takes the bounce out of the rear end and makes a world of difference in the drive. Anyone think of others?
