Had one with that issue at 114k, ended up hawking it at auction because there was no assistance from Ford.

I had the issue with my last truck, but it was still under warranty. I ended up trading it in for the V8 after the warranty was up. Great engine for towing and power, but I don't trust it beyond the 5/100.

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

    Well, from the Ford website:
    2.7L EcoBoost - 325 HP /400 Ft-lbs
    3.5L EcoBoost - 375 / 470
    3.5L High Output EcoBoost - 450 / 510

If a guy was willing to put a tuner on their "regular" 3.5L EcoBoost you could do some huge things I have heard. And if your truck was not loaded down with the heavy luxury stuff, it'd be pretty fast. For a while they were selling a RCSB EcoBoost truck with 4.10 gearing. Bet that was pretty entertaining.
I'm looking forward to modding my 3.5EB once warranty is done. Anecdotally it seems faster than my old 5.0.

Wound up at the same lights as a coal roller big horsepower type guy and I was laughing at him. Of course he started revving it up. Off the line we were neck and neck for a bit but I was faster. Would have been no contest if I slipped it into sport mode.

All things considered, the Ford was the better deal, and the truck I really wanted. First time I have ever purchased a brand new vehicle and I didn't have to settle for anything. I absolutely love my new truck.
Except for the payment. Congrats on the new truck.

I want to tune mine so bad haha Im so back and forth on it because of the stories and my warranty but seeing the gains from even a mild tune is so tempting.

At least a tune should get you up the raptor engine levels.

Got a great deal on a new 19 raptor at advantage during a sale they had earlier in the week. My brother ended up buying my 18 off them as well. This thing is an absolute beast.

Looks really great, fun to drive?

Easily the only truck I would consider buying other than mine. Such a great package.

Love the wheels. Only thing that bothers me about the Raptor is the engine/exhaust sound.

Super fun to drive. Definitely more pep than my regular 3.5. I love the way it sounds too. It's a bad ass truck

Got a notice in the mail today. New Block heater cords are apparently in! Booking mine in soon. Never got the last recall (the cable cutting one) done on mine.
