Just filled up for $178. Good thing the climate taxes are helping.

I spent $200 when I was in Van back in August. Last fill before the price jump was $150ish. Thank God I only fill once a month.

    That’s insanity.

You’re doing your part. The climate has never been cleaner.

An employee of mine does. Doesn't look like much until the sun is shining but when the sun is out it is quite nice.
@spikerS any reviews you can provide on the powerboost yet? Curious if all the internet chatter about the braking feel and transfer over from battery to gas are true.

Scheduled the truck in for "the works" next week at Cam Clark. The thought was that they do a quick detail on it right?
Getting them to look at the squeaky brakes too.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

This truck has been ultra reliable, but the glass is taking a hell of a beating... Driver side window randomly cracked.

Thinking it may have gotten a rock chip at a t-intersection tossed off a passing truck (you can see right in the center of the crack the smallest of what appears to be chips). Was -5 in the morning and went to +20 throughout the day.

Finished work to go home and big ol' crack. $600 including labour, luckily its in stock (oem side glass is damn expensive).

Well, ~600kms on the truck now, and it seems pretty solid. I am really enjoying the truck, and I have said it before, it is leaps and bounds ahead of the last gen. It's just a better truck. I don't know how much is attributed to it being a powerboost, but the ride quality, power, and tech is just so much better.
@bigboom braking feel is fine to me. It is a little different than normal, and I can't really describe it, but it is really minor. I don't even notice it any more.

the transition from battery to power is only noticeable really when you are either at a complete stop, or under say 10kph. It is WAY more noticeable when you are at a stop. When you are moving at more than 10kph, you barely notice it, and have to be watching for it. Only time i notice any more after a week of owning it is when I am stopped. In the grand scheme of things, it is a pretty minor annoyance.

I am super happy with the truck so far though and if this experience continues, I have no issues recommending the hybrid setup to others.

You lose payload for the heavier engine, AND the options. That number you are using is for 6.2L Gas engine in XL trim.

You can dig out a little more in that link if you want to. I'm assuming you are wanting a F250 6.7L Diesel 4x4 Crew Cab with 6.5' box. So that's the numbers I see.
I see that shows a max payload for that cab configuration of between 3320 and 3470, BUT that doesn't say which engine. When you look up the GVWR (highest for that configuration is 10,200 lbs), and curb weight (Lowest for Diesel is 7262 lbs) you get a max payload of 2938 lbs. But that's for an XL level truck with ZERO options. Lariat adds 500-700 lbs, so you can be down to 2200lbs payload really fast.

Anyway, I'm not trying to be a dick, but F250 diesel is a terrible idea if you care about paper ratings, even with the high payload options. F350 diesel, which is basically the same truck, just with higher paper ratings, is the better choice.
True answers are on the door sticker. I don't have any of those in front of me, but if you are at a dealership, snap a few pics and post em. Bet I'm right.
Your not wrong 3/4 are a waste time especially the diesels most don’t have much better payloads the 1/2 tons.

Most real truck things put you in a one ton fast… spend a hour reading any good rv forum and the old timers there will school you fast

Got my truck back from dealer. Did the "works" package which was an oil change and tire rotation. Cost $142 all in. They uber'd me to/from so that was probably 80 bucks+ in ubers they ate.

Inverter problem got sorted, was a loose connection at the rear console outlet. Rear brakes squeal also got fixed. Turns out there is no squeal it was just my ear wax buildup causing me to imagine things. They said it will likely continue in the future as its totally normal to have ear wax buildup at my age. Im going to try the romping down gravel road trick to see if that heats up the brakes enough to get rid of the squeal.

Took the wife's truck to pick up a table saw this morning. Squeely brakes noted. She said it's been on/off since the weather got colder. Gonna take it in next week here and see if they can fix it or if they blame it on ear wax as well...

@tirebob will probably have the one piece OEM style lugs, either in stock, or next day available.

Whats kind of the long term outlook on these ecoboosts? Are they holding value, still running well (how long have they been out?) in high km? I know im still swimming against the current, but the HDPP is still kind of making sense to me as a daily driver (my work truck turns out to be a 300a, and isnt 'that' bad), but have to compare it to a diesel for a 10+ year outlook.. daily driving a 3/4 or 1 ton seems like it would suck

this is absolutely what I should have done in the first place.

edit: must have been ear wax buildup

Like the "EcoBoost" Engine family in general? Well ford has put over a million of them into the F150, and hundreds of thousands more into the other SUV's, so yeah, they aren't harming resale value at all, or being avoided by buyers, new, used, or fleet, in any significant numbers.

Overall, they are fine, but you can always find examples to prove or disprove anything if you are looking for it.

Oh yeah, they didn't wash the truck or provide me with any wash codes. Was awesome having them pick-up/drop-off the vehicle though.
