I can't see Ford ever doing that.
Dodge/Ram is notorious for the insane 96 and 108 mo. terms to push their vehicles out the door.

Ford is offering 1.49% on 84 mo. now which is super low for Ford.
There is no difference. Ford has a 5k allowance and 1.49% finance, Ram has no allowance and 0 % for 96 months. They all play games with the cost of credit/allowances. Ford changes incentives all the time. When they have big incentives on price they bump up the interest rate and vice versa. I've seen 0% for 72 and 1.9% on 84 for Ford multiple times per, year every year.

Also I don't think anyone has done 108 months yet.

Never looked into boats - whats a financing term on boats? I can only imagine RV financing can almost go as long as a mortgage on some...

I took the 72 months, but it's bugging me and now I'm looking prepaying it to get that down. Probably should settle down and just invest elsewhere, but still, I hate payments.

I’m in the same mindset with my truck.

The rational part of me knows it was the right choice and it would be lunacy to pay it down. But another part of me hates the payment.

Fuckin insane but with the price tag on some of them theres no way an average person could buy one on a regular finance. Ive been watching a ton of vids on the new Paragon from Nautique and i think that starts at $300k US

Yup haha. Even the cheapest new surf/wake/ski boat is 100k. Only way they can get the average person to buy one is offer super long term. It's pretty much a mortgage

Exactly. Capitalize on the 0% aha use the banks money... I just replaced all our appliances at our rental property and locked in a no-pay for 18 mo at the Brick. While I could pay it off now - why not invest that money for 17.9 mo. and pay off later

The counter point is that you could do what I did, take all the cash I would have used to buy the truck outright. Dump it into “undervalued” Canadian energy indexes. Then lose 30% because coronavirus lol.

With any luck I won’t be underwater on that transaction by the time the truck is paid off

It's fun planning a few small accessories for the inbound F150. Floor Liners and Mud flaps are coming from the dealership, PPF and seat covers are happening right away too.
Just in case anyone was wondering, the Ford factory floor liners are NOT nearly as much coverage as the Weathertech and Husky floor liners. I'm kinda mad at myself for not checking this myself beforehand. Oh well, I'm too cheap to buy a second set of floor mats, so I'll live with these. Unless anyone wants to buy em off me. Factory spec baby, make an offer, lol.

Sprayed 2 bottles of that Maguires Hybrid Ceramic wax over the truck today. Weird shit. Didn't do much prep, which is definitely not right, but this was also the most labor I've put into vehicle appearance in maybe my entire life, so whatever. If this shit works, great, if not, I'll go back to the wand wash four times a year program and just live my life.

I recommend these guys for the PPF. Best price I found around town and they use the premium stuff wit some extras added in.

Mud flaps I went with Husky and love them. I was slightly annoyed at the factory floor liners not covering where the accel pedal is.

Sorry, I should have edited my quote. I have PPF already, and bedliner, and mud flaps, and floor liners, although I don't like the ford factory floor liners and wish I hadn't paid for them.

If you want the maximum floor coverage, go with tux mats.. they are amazing. I had them in my 2018 GTI and compared to the husky’s in my GM truck, the tux mats are probably 25% more coverage for a cheaper price.

Toss them out and get a proper set of liners. You probably paid a pretty penny for the ford ones but toss those and get something with full coverage. I have the 3d max ones and the fit and look are the best imo and theyre way cheaper than weathertec

I used that maguires stuff last summer and found that it did not hold up very long, switched over to turtle wax this year and it has worked a lot better.

Update on my 2018 F150 (V8). I've been dealing with the cam phaser rattle for over a year now and repeated visits to dealerships. TSB-182354 completed back in January which did not fix the issue. Took it in again last week to a different dealer. They applied the update again and told me the apparently tweaked some of the PCM settings. Rattle is now gone - so far so good. Have been driving for about a week.

Didn't know that the issue can occur on the V8s as well.
I thought it was exclusive only to the 3.5L V6.

    2 bottles?!?!?

I'm assuming this https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/m...w.ds#store=930 is the stuff you used? If so you used way, way too much, an 1/8th of a bottle should have been more than enough to do a first application.

You may need some sort of an aggressive car shampoo i.e. Chemical Guys Clean Slate followed by a proper application of the product, there's lots of good YouTube videos on how to apply it, the first application is different to subsequent applications. One bottle should easily last you a year or two on a single car.
