well, good news is, I found another dealer, willing to give me X-plan and a few other discounts. Factory order the same truck again for me, and have given everything to me in writing. So there is hope lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

My truck ordered first week of January, still not in my possession.
Was in contact with the gm of dealer, to see if I can get the same deal or close on a similar truck that's on the ground already. He's in contact with his ford rep to see what deal/discounts they'll honor.
Probably hear back next week.
That's insane man, sorry. I could see if it was some unique unicorn, but jeez. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I would hope the GM could just be like here's a equivalent for the same discounts, we'll sell yours when it finally comes in at this point...

That's exactly what I'm hoping for but it's sort of out of his hands. Far as I can understand, he needs ford to say they'll still honor the original deal. Not holding my breath though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
well, my second factory order has been placed today. here's hoping!

Dang! Im glad I didn't order through that dealer! If it makes you feel better, I ordered 3rd week of jan and took posession mid march. But its a total pos. My 400w inverter is doa, and my puny 2.7 motor can't even climb my driveway incline without throttle input. And the ventilated seat is only medium cold. How am I supposed to keep my nuts cool on medium cold.
Tap, Rack, BANG!
Yeah, I am really disappointed in them too. So, based on my experience, I would advise everyone willing to listen to me to not give your patronage to Maclin Ford at the Glenmore auto mall. They come across pretty shady and backed out of my deal with x-plan pricing. They straight up told me it was Ford that was not allowing x-plan purchases when the truck arrived. I called Ford's program people and they refuted it 100%. When I talked to the sales manager (Steve) at Maclin again, he re-iterated that it was Ford that had suspended the x-plan, and I called him out on it and that I didn't appreciate being lied to. It was at that point he told me that we were too far apart to make a deal and abandoned me. It kinda sucks as there is no downside for them. The truck in the configuration I had it is in high demand, and some other joe-schmoe is gonna be in there tomorrow to buy it if it didn't sell today, and probably for MSRP or better. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. On the flip side, I had a couple of guys from a dealer up by Edmonton reach out to me over Facebook after hearing what happened and offered to make it right. Quick and painless process, done all over Facebook messenger and a couple back and forth phone calls. I made a couple of changes to the order, but it is overall the same. They stuck to the X-plan terms and processes, gave me my pricing, and have sent in the order. Way less painless, way more professional, and overall a pleasant experience. I gotta give Heartland Ford some pretty big props as everything has gone smoothly. One of the guys is even their "director of sales" for their chain or whatever. Either way, it's been great, at least so far anyways lol.
So yeah, avoid Maclin Ford. Bunch of crooks, in my opinion of course. I think I have governed myself accordingly here.

Not the dealers fault @littledan
Luck of the draw for what factory mine was built out of. 3 other coworkers ordered when I did as well, 1 got their truck but his was built elsewhere and the other 2 are still waiting since their trucks were being built out of the same plant.
Good to hear it’s hopefully going to work out. I had the opposite experience, Maclin was absolutely awesome to deal with last time, but Woodridge kept lying to me about employee pricing and X Plan pricing saying I was full of shit and could never buy a car for the price I wanted. I will never deal with Woodridge again after the way I was treated. Universal also was quite rude to me on a business deal earlier this year, I wouldn’t recommend them either. Although I never got far enough, Northstar Crowfoot sales manager was very pleasant last year or the year before when I was looking for a specific Mustang. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. These guys getting smoke blown up their ass as to their self importance since the truck shortages started?
People have long memories so I hope these douchebags feel the pain long term.

Car dealerships can't really think long term. Those sales manager roles are cutthroat and they get shit canned so quick.

The issue you guys are having is the person, not the dealership. Anyone thinking the GM is any better at a dealer doesn’t know how they are promoted. Results-driven business at usually at any (customer) cost.

Like a quick google gave this:
https://www.freedomfordsales.ca/x-pl...r-recognition/
In Edmonton, could just call and ask if Alberta dealers give Xplan on ‘21 f150s.
I know Sherwood is/was very transparent with Xplan, too.
It’s worth to mention, you can do better than Xplan, especially with a trade. I believe they only do book value for trades if Xplan.
If you make a deal outside of Xplan, the trade value goes up, and so does the GST offset.
Tell them to eat admin fees and you’ll likely get a better deal.

Thanks for the reminder, I haven't tried my 400w inverter to see if it works yet. Also have the same complaint about the vented seats, even the aftermarket vented 12v seat cover that I bought for my old corolla works better than this thing does on max. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. So update on my work truck; it has gone in 5 times to the dealership with videos of the all the lights on, Ford pass up showing all the faults on everything from check engine, to traction control to you name it showing a fault. On all 5 visits they are unable to find what causes this and we are stuck paying diagnostic fees.
Thanks to the crazy truck prices we were offered $52k for this POS with 65k kms. Wicked deal as we paid $54k for it in 2018.
Now waiting to see if I can pick up a 2021 Lariat or a Chev 1500. Whatever is available first I guess...

I am too lazy and tired to try and find it however many pages back, but I think I recall there was a website that you could use to track the progress of your factory order?
Heartland Ford gave me an order number, "C003". I am not confident that that will get me anywhere, but who knows. I think that order number is just some internal thing at the dealer, but they did confirm my truck is ordered. I am kinda thinking I am going to have to wait for a VIN to be assigned.
