My truck is in the shop getting some hail PDR’d. I got a 2019 xlt 3.5 EB as a rental. Moves pretty good.

Just like insurance and cellphones, loyalty isn't often rewarded, always worth your time to check around.
I have a business acquaintence who owns a couple dealerships. Figured back scratch both ways when I bought my truck last year.

In fairness, I didn't really involve him beyond asking if he had a guy who I should deal with. Said guy tried to sell me a barebones no options 2019 XLT that had the payload package for $39k. Couldn't be bothered to find a truck I remotely wanted. Let my acquaintence know that I was pretty disappointed, he also stopped receiving price breaks because fuck him.

I still don't think there is much negotiating room available beyond the incentives and bullshit dealer addons/fees.

Of course, everyone is super serious secret about talking about how much they paid for a vehicle for some reason.

I didn't get a rental. Who needs vehicles?

Can agree with the referral BS - a Ford dealer tried to charge me $350 for locking nuts and nitrogen for the tires. The lock nuts are $70 on Ford.ca, so that was 280 for nitrogen! On the original quote, nowhere to be found, was the 649 dealer fee. While I understand fees exist, hiding it was the issue here.

Went to Airdrie, better deal without even asking, no hidden fees and no bs nitro charge!

Maybe they recognized you and decided to charge more?

Always worth shopping around. There's no such thing as a dealer that always gives the best price.

The wife has joined the ford gang. 2021 Explorer ST. Only thing is we don't know what color yet. We are fine with the two options. Dealer didn't have one on the lot so they outsourced. Dealer that they are getting it from has two but have a customer coming tomorrow to buy one. Whichever they decide, we get the other.

sweet! There is 2 up in my neck of the woods, both black, but the ST styling on them looks pretty sexy. I know nothing else about them, but I do like them. Congrats bud!

I swear to god though, if they don't get my new truck on a train here, I am going to cancel it and just order a 2022. They are gonna get here about the same time.... GRRR!

The ST is a sick car. Is that 3.0L Ecoboost jist a bored out version of the 2.7L one from the trucks? Great engine.

Good question, I doubt it as they make power really differently.

The 3L is more traditional in its delivery and curve with more hp. The 2.7 is truckier, by a lot. If that makes sense.

But a lot of that could be tunes. BRB googling, lol.

The edge ST has the 2.7 I think? Or it did. I don't know much about SUVs.

I like every version of the ecoboost. They are all great. Every kind of GTDI engine is great. I never want a naturally aspirated engine again for a daily driver.

    You nailed it brother:

The 3.0-liter version of the engine was created by increasing the 2.7-liter's cylinder bore in the CGI-block from 83.0 millimeters to 85.3, and by lengthening piston stroke by 3.0 millimeters (to 86.0).

Bored and stroked. I like the 3L, and potentially see it in a mustang with a hybrid. 500/630

I'm guessing you've checked your vehicle on Palsapp? I know earlier in the year there were instances of the tracker never updating while the truck would just show up at their local dealership.

LOL, yes, I have been tracking it many times a day, on all the different trackers, including Pasapp.

However, from what I am seeing on Palsapp, I am thinking I won't see it show up in there until it arrives in Edmonton and unloaded from the train, being that it shows the origin as Edmonton. My assumption is that means it is being picked up in Edmonton and then delivered to the dealership.
