Yeah your thought should be correct. This is what Palsapp shows for my truck:This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Shouldn't be too much longer, IIRC it took about a week to get from the railyard to the dealership.
Well, the trackers say my ETA to dealership is September 14th. It was built August 4th. so shipping time of 40 days apparently. Having said that, they got 15 days now to meet their ETA and the truck isn't even on a train yet, so, I doubt they are going to meet the timeline.
Cruising the Gen14 forums, a lot of people are having their ETA dates pushed back, usually by 2 weeks at a time. It is really frustrating though. Some trucks are flying though the whole system in a couple weeks from production to delivery, while others that ordered in February still don't even have a build date. I count myself lucky as my truck is built (supposedly, my dealer and FPC both state it is built, not waiting on any parts and is ready to go) because there are a LOT of people out there that have placed orders and have been waiting 2-3 times longer than I. But, what is the most frustrating is that there is no information from the Ford Mothership. There isn't anyone to contact to get information or try and find out what these holdups are. There are also a lot of people that have just abandoned their factory orders and deposits (in some cases) and just found a different truck that was on a lot somewhere instead of the uncertainty of the current situation that is the Ford factory order process.
I have tracked probably 50 or 60 trucks, and I can't figure out any rhyme or reason as to what is going on. Like I said, some trucks are getting to dealers in 30-45 days from order submission, while others like me, are sitting in limbo with no information as to why. I mean, 26 days for me with my truck sitting built and sitting somewhere, with zero idea what the hold up is.
I think some communication from Ford would help a lot, and at least inspire confidence in the process.

On the flip side today, Ford finally updated my file for my new truck and why after 28 days it hasn't gotten on a train for delivery. FUCKING CHIP SHORTAGE!
This really sucks as my dealer was able to honor my trade in price for my current truck until my new truck arrived. To expect them to hold out even longer is a pipe dream, so that means when the truck finally does show up, my trade is going to be worth a lot less, which means the new truck doesn't make financial sense to pursue. I am a sad panda today.

God I wish Ford was more reliable. I find Fords in general to be roomy and quiet inside, their ergonomics always seem to make sense, and they drive very nicely.

I overall don't like Ford's, but reliability has never been my concern in owning one. The ecoboost 3.5's have their issues, but what other problems are there?
I'm actually surprised at my truck's reliability, thought owning a new vehicle would possibly be a nightmare in general.
Just search ford iwe and you will get your answer. Or cam phasor.
