    Unfortunately - $6000 a year @9.5L/100 avg.
yeah, i am in the $5-600 range a month in gas at these prices and that is roughly 2-2.5 tanks a month. I would rather spend a bit extra on a nicer truck than the gas at this point and not worry about gas prices.

Can the 2.7l lariats with ~1200 payload rating tow little 16' - 18' outboard lake boats/trailer? Not an aluminum fishing boat but a fibreglass hull boat? Anyone know typical weight of those setups?

I’d be shocked if they couldn’t. Typically even wake boats aren’t that hard to tow dry. Most mid sized SUV’s do fine with them.

I mean they aren’t a wrangler or an escape.

I'd hazard no more than about 5000lbs?

Little 2.7 F150 would have no troubles with that

Most (all?) F150’s would run out of tongue weight for a boat well before tow rating considering you don’t generally use WD hitches with boats because of the surge brakes.

You will be fine. I know a few guys pulling 21-23 foot wake boats with a 2.7 no issues at all

I got an email from the dealership I leased my 2.7 502A from. It was a generic "we'll buy your truck click for price" type email. So... what's everyone's plans come spring 2023 and how can I play this off to make some cash on my lease @ buyout time and potentially use that profit to flip into another 2-3 year lease??? interested in WWBD

If you want to flip your truck do it now. Not a year from now.

    Just my opinion.

Yep, if you wanna make money off the lease do it now, not when the new car market recovers.

I think it is already showing those signs. I am already seeing a lot more new inventory on dealer lots, well, except Ford lots, and even hearing some dealerships advertising on the radio that they now have the largest inventory they have had in 22 months IIRC.

To me, thats the signal that prices are going to start to come into alignment, but now we have to factor in inflation. So, I am not really sure what to expect. I think we may see a slight dip in prices over the next 6 months, but then inflation may bring those prices back up to the current levels. Personally, I think we just past the peak, and are starting to go over the hump.

Ya I dont want to buy out my lease unless im selling back to dealer at a profit. If I was going to spend 58k on a truck it would need to have a v8 so I can do my fair share to save the environment. The 2.7l doesnt use enough gas to save the environment fast enough. Might look at a trail boss with the new interior but loved the cheap lease deal on the 502a package. Im guessing we wont see that type of deal again though. I just want a 5l lariat for the price of a 3l xl. Is that too much to ask?

So. If I am understanding you correctly.

You want to sell your used ford at a premium, but be able get a new ford at a significant discount. Because reasons

Basically you want to have your cake and eat it too. lol

If you are insistent on wanting a new truck today is when your current truck will be worth the most. However, lots of irrationality out there still, it means your new truck will still cost an arm and a leg.

My plan is to trade the F150 for a Tacoma. Already have one ordered for Sept delivery. Only hesitation now is finance rates, they're at 7% with Toyota now. Might end up cancelling and going with a Ranger or Frontier purely because I can use my employee discount(and finance rates seem to be cheaper).

    Edit: Nevermind, they're at 4.89%

I'm much more concerned with vehicle supply increasing at least enough for there to be models available to purchase. RAV4 Prime, Bronco etc.
    Price is an illusion.

For me it's the flood of F150 returns impending that's starting to worry me, I think I saw on the Cam Clark website when they had the deal running that there were something like 500+ trucks moved under that deal at that one dealer alone. Trade values are going to tank once those start coming back in droves.

Not sure a few hundred or a thousand 2 year old trucks in Alberta is going to crash the market. Still a massive shortage of trucks out there. But who knows. I think you can at least hand back the keys without issue, right? Lease math is confusing to me
