That's the Ford kool-aid factor. Realistically on the highway, every modern light duty pickup makes very close to the same mileage.

Are the brand new ones still bad? By modern, I meant having more gears than a 35 year old Honda. (8+)

Put my winters on this aft; was all excited to ditch the stock capped lug nuts for some Gorillas- didn't realize I'd ordered the wrong thread pitch and it only fits up to 2014.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZSDGVGG

Anyone with an 11-14 F-150 want this? I paid ~$120 USD, would let em go for $80 CAD to save the hassle of shipping them back.

Speaking of winters...does anyone know if the factory/stock lugnuts will work on steelies? Or do I need to get a different set?

They should... they're just bulge/acorn style-- I'm guessing they'd mate just fine, but I don't have first hand knowledge.

I have the stock floor mats from my 2014 F-150 that I took out as soon as I got the truck. Totally forgot I had them until I moved. Anyone looking for some OEM floormats? Send me a pm and we can figure out a price.

Really makes me question if it's worth constantly driving in eco mode is even worth it. I keep getting people telling me "Well I got over 1000km on my tank, and it's so nice!", yet I always seem to get max ~900km
I have gotten as much as 1150km a tank roughly. But, I also don't romp on my gas pedal much, and most of the time I drive like grandpa. and this was all in my '19.

I have only used the driving mode very briefly two times ever since I got the truck. It's always in normal mode, and mostly city driving I'm getting about 950KM on average when the warning light comes on at 80KM to empty.

Has anyone noticed the different shift pattern in the '21? Under light/normal acceleration the transmission would go through each gear one by one. On my '19 XLT with the same 2.7/10spd it would skip a gear(1-3-5-7), unless I was heavy on the gas pedal or in Sport mode.

I think a lot of people lie.
They definitely do. For instance, there is no way in blue hell that a v8 anything towing any sort of trailer getting 25usmpg unless it was all downhill one way lol

I'm a little shocked at the difference between the calculated mileage and the actual. My last few tanks, the computer told me I was ~11.1-11.2L/100km (driving 24/7 in eco mode). When I filled up, it worked out to ~12.8L/100km. Is that normal, to see that kind of difference? In my GTI, calculated vs actual was only around 0.1-0.2L/100km difference.
Yep Ive noticed this as well via tracking on fuely.

I don't use Eco very often. I don't do much at all to change fuel economy, and it ends up pretty consistently fine.
I haven't played with the wife's truck very much, but in every other car with a Eco mode I've ever driven, it sucked any and all enjoyment out of driving.

All these comments about the Sync 4 is what has been bugging me about the truck vs my Acura with Android Auto though - I couldn't put my finger on it before. I really do like the wireless part - If I get another new car, it's definitely gonna need to have it.

Having had three Fords, all were very optimistic on the fuel usage.

I know this is a Ford thread but if anyone is in the market for a new'ish Ram Rebel 1500, give me a shout. You will get a good deal on something that isn't readily available right now and I will move on to something else. Haha.

Just booked in for my first oil change on the 21 lariat. Is it likely to get a loaner while they are doing this or am I SOL? Talk to the sales bros?
