Have most people done an IWE here?

I have one done, but it’s sort of in my control.

If you disengage 4wd while it’s still below zero, it fails. I don’t think I’ve heard of one failing if it’s above zero and the snow/slush melted out.

Am I out to lunch here? Mine happened driving to Sask with slush and it was colder yet in Saskatoon. When we went to 2wd, it didn’t have enough vacuum/couldn’t overcome the built up snow and caused the grindy noises. Dealer fixed it right up warranty.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

Dealing with a IWE failure right now, 2020 F150... Dealership is going to replace the solenoid and vacuum lines but has to wait for parts, they told me it was fine to drive in the meantime lol the grinding noise is pretty loud and im wondering if this is causing any issues or damage to the hub..?

Of coarse it will, if it gets bad enough the shavings will take out the wheel bearing. Could just keep it locked in 4wd for the next week or two, weather looks like it will be needed anyway.

The default response is, it’s the IWE. Go with that. Unless you have a tuned eco boost, then your front diff is shot.

Anybody else having issues on the new trucks with the washer button not working? I think I’m going to rage break the lever off the column if I have to stop on the side of the road again.

There was a lot of talk about the nozzles freezing, but haven't heard of issues with the button.

Took my truck in for an oil change and like... 5 recalls. They couldn't fix the broken OTA update issue, so I'm still on 1.7.1. I told them it was basically the only thing I wanted done other than the oil change. They reset my HU, disconnected my Ford pass, but didn't try using the FDRS to flash it, so I have to take it back.

The multifunction switch is back ordered. Might be 2 weeks, might be 6 months. Who needs these fancy high-tech new features like electric washer and wipers anyway? Thinking I could just go to pick-n-pull and upgrade my ‘22 Ford with the signal light lever from some 1980s Ford shitbox.

I know some people after ford dealers have tried to manually flash and it failed they had to replace the APMI? (i think i got that right)module. Seems there are some issue with the early 21s but once over that hump they take updates.

I was just in for an oil change on mine and no recalls, did you have the wiper motor recall?

I keep thinking I should throw away the fabric cover under the middle of my truck. It's a pain 8n rhe dick to remove it each time, and I can't imagine it does anything aside from collect ice all winter.
Anyway, got the oil changed yesterday.
