I don’t understand the no cash purchase thing. That’s just because they make so much off the financing?

    This just a domestic thing?

Over the weekend I was able to get something for a healthy discount BECAUSE I was a cash customer?

For sure its because they make money off the financing, i wouldnt be surprised at all to hear people financing these for over 5 years so imagine how much they can make off that.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

i suspect it's more a SPIFF, manufacturer-to-dealer incentive for deals closed thru corp finance.

Those hubcaps are a nightmare to keep on. Especially with axle hop from a hard launch.

Hmm, 0.4L better than what I'm getting with the 2.7L. What mode are you in normally?

I could get down to 11.1L when I was running in Eco mode. This last tank, I did 100% normal, and I'm at 11.5L right now, with 130k left to empty.

That doesn't seem great. My old Hemi Ram with an 8 speed got those numbers in the city with Duratrac's on.

OK I need some internet assistance.

I'm running a 21' lariat w/ the 18" wheels, Goodyear Wrangler territory AT tires. The tires are M+S rated but not 3 peak M+S. They are OK in the snow but definitely there are better options out there and I prefer to have as much grip as possible for situations where I end up at the crossroads of twp road buttfuck and range road nowhere.

2 options, keep factory size and get a dedicated winter (possibly w/ studs) OR, put an all weather oversize tire with a 2" lift and run em year round.

I'm looking at getting a 2" lift via rough country coilovers front and lift block + shock rear (I think its 2" front and 1" rear so keeps some rake)

Does anyone know some decent looking hybrid tire that is 3 peak rated and if so, what the correct size would be for a 32 or 33" final height? Pls & thanks.

My vote will always be dedicated winters. If you're absolutely sold on an all-weather tire, I'd probably opt for something really boring like a Michelin LTX.

You will definitely get some recommendations for A/T tires like the BFG T/A KO2. I found my set of those to be like hockey pucks on ice, but I was running load range E on a Tacoma, so definitely not ideal application.

+1 for dedicated winters. After nearly dying on the calf robe a couple years ago, I bought a used set on rims and haven't looked back.

That’s well above average. I’m on my 3rd set at 200k, probably 4th sometime this winter. To stay positive, my next truck will be an F-250 or 350 that comes with manual hubs like it’s the year 1950. Bad IWEs are better than getting out at a icy red light to walk around your truck trying to turn the 4wd on.

+1 for dedicated winters and on top of that i put studs in mine. I have done that on my trucks and it's the best of both worlds. twice the tire life (time wise) and the best grip in any season.

I would also give a +1 to the BFG K02 tires. I run them in spring/summer/fall and I think they are great, and they are also sized the same as stock wheels, just a bit wider. I have used them in the winter, and in snow, they are great, but, on ice...well, it is what it is.

I'm a lazy piece of shit, so I got some OEM diameter General grabber AT/X to run year round. I went down to 17", and as stated, OEM diameter, so 265/70R17. They are studdable, but since I don't want to swap back come summer, I didn't bother. Load Range E, and Load Index/Speed rating of 121/118S

    agreed...

the max tow already has that 1.5" rear block, so a level kit does make it look good, but can cause issues when it comes down to things like CV angles, and possibly issues with fitting in parking lots.

All oversized tires > 275 width seeminly goes from C ply (i.e. 114/116/123) to a much heavier E ply... it materially impacts fuel economy, performance and comfort. Not to mention makes it worse to maintain traction in winter.

I think the days of those 6-8 inch lifted Heavy duty trucks have came and gone as "us" millenials have either gave up working on the Rigs, and or decided to have puppies with the bar-wench we married.
