That is quite hardcore, I'm thoroughly impressed by your commitment to the battery tending. Myself personally, I've never had a battery fail to start a gas vehicle my whole life unless the alternator was pooched or the battery was 5+ years old, and at that point I knew I was playing with fire.

Maybe I can attempt something similiar, will be real easy what with the front end all apart...

    Oooh yikes. What happened?

Cable for a charger should fit in the hole where the foglight used to be.

Deer on Antler Hill. Whodda thunk?

No moonlight, ditches were pure black. Saw it once it hit the pavement/was lit up but damn that thing was running full tilt. Less than 1 second for the whole thing to occur. Smacked its ass real hard, glancing blow to the truck but apparently thats enough to explode the front of a truck nowadays.

If this had been one of my older trucks, I doubt I'd even have a dent.

    Oh damn, sorry to hear!

Is that an issue with all Fords, or just the Ranger since it is so new?

Could be a little of both due to the interruptions in manufacturing due to COVID

Just talked to the bodyshop, they said the exact same thing. F*&k. Adjuster says that little love tap costs $7k :o

Looks like I may be getting my sexy XL Sport honeycomb grill though, adjuster says its needs to be replaced.

Will also get the foglights replaced with Diode Dynamics SS3 with factory style molded mounts

2021 F150 builds are finally live on ford.ca

Sadly, their factory incentives right now are absolute garbage. only $1000 delivery allowance AND 4.49% finance rates. Truck is too expensive right now. To be expected I guess with it just launching. Maybe next summer / fall. Incentives should be much better then.

Having said that, the hybrid setup is like $4500 and the 7.2Kw generator is $1000, so that is awesome. Can't get the 136L fuel tank with the hybrid though, which is a bummer. That combo would have made that truck pass ALL the gas stations LOL. When I replace the current truck, that is going to be my combo.

TFL released a good video yesterday on the Platinum version. Lots of cool tech in there, and the interior refresh (semi i guess, still falls behind the Ram) is nice to see. I am excited to check the truck out regardless.

Also, @ExtraSlow remember when I called it a couple years back that we would see the electric F150 in 2021 and you said no? here's your rubbins. LOL. I tried searching for the post, but no luck

I'm still correct, electric is not the same as hybrid. Heck, this isn't even a plug-in hybrid.

This seems like a further iteration or upgrade of the etorque system in the Ram. It's a pretty small battery, there is a very small electric only range, this is primarily to assist with initial acceleration at low speeds which is why only the city economy is better.

Yeah that's like Trudeaus balanced budget in 2059 or whatever he said. I don't trust it until it happens.

To be expected for sure, they did the same when the 15 came out and people were paying full msrp. I agree about the interior too, its nicer than the previous but i was hoping for more.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

The incentives thing is no surprise at all. Until the dealerships have good stock and the first round of "gotta have it" buyers have purchased, why have big incentives?

That is what I am banking on. Decent incentives should be around by next summer again. Depending on how things play out and my situation, I may do my first factory order. I don't think the options list I want are going to be very popular to be lucky enough to find one on the lot like my '19 was.

Sounds like the 2021s are suffering quality problems, that’s the rumour anyway.

This is why Ford hasn’t actually released the OK TO BUY on the 30k + units it’s produced.

Makes me nervous, that’s for sure.

I think waiting for a 2022, or refresh 2023/24 model is what I’d consider a safer bet.

This dealer is already doing $14k off on the new ones. Not sure what the deal is or why. But here's a link.

I'm guessing that truck doesn't exist, and if you try to buy it they'll tell you it "just sold" but here's a few other options for you to buy for thousands of dollars more.

    That’s really odd.

The 4K factory and delivery are real, but the 10k door crasher is fake. That truck has a maximum of 7k of invoice cash.

So to me 4+7 is the absolute best you’ll do right now - unless you have a D or A-plan from Ford. You’ll get some of the holdback too, which is usually 2%.

So it’s not even possible unless they’re in the business of actually losing cash.
