Perfect lifestyle vehicle. The box is super accessable and he avgs 6.2L/100 on highway

I know the is the ecoboost thread but did anyone get the 3.0 powerstroke?? Thinking about getting one. I don’t tow and mostly drive highway km. I just need the truck bed to haul light things.

Its the worst of the 1/2 ton diesel engines for mpg, and it's a bit of a bastard child along with having a short run.

If not towing often, I'd just get the 2.7.

Yeah Ford killed the F150 diesel.

Heard cam Clark is giving decent deals on factory orders these days. Better than last year for sure. PM me for referrals, I'll pay you $500.

I’m so stubborn I won’t pay new truck prices unless there is a serious discount. I know I should get the 2.7 as it fits what I need, but I like havin GB the extra power of the 3.5, doesn’t explain why I’m looking at the 3.0.

My big concern with new is if I buy at 74k let’s say then they add factory discounts of 10k again I’d be mad. I feel it’s a matter of time till Dodge does it as their lots are stacked. I wish I hadn’t sold my 2012 a couple years ago. Thought I would be happy, but to be fair I’ll never be happy with my vehicle line up.

I saw an ad to today for 10k off a RAM…

But if fuel economy is your goal I would get the 3l duramax, great engine, and for 2023 it gets a power bump

Just finished a 2007k road trip to BC & back, truck & box full but nothing really heavy.

Baby boost truck averaged 10.5L/100km and dropped my lifetime mileage by 1.1L/100km (the trip was roughly 13% of the trucks total kms driven). And that's keeping pace with whoever wanted to lead the pack to and from, pretty happy with those numbers.

That’s really great economy. Have you hand calculated to compare ever? My truck was off around 8-10% (dash was lower L/100 than calculated). But still great

Based on splitting the kms driven and my last fill the numbers align with your hand calcs. Had I made note of actual kms per tank I could of had better numbers to use but either way, great numbers. Especially considering the driving style

Well Fuck. Smashed my passenger side mirror into some construction fencing that was leaning into my lane today. Tool out the mirror light lens. Popped out the top mirror segment too, but that seems to have popped back in without incident. Fucking fuck fuck.

Do you want me to see if I can get you an aftermarket mirror through work?

I'd like to avoid replacing the whole mirror. I assume that lens is not available separately though? Maybe just use some clear tape and be trashy. Who am I going to impress?

That sucks. I’d see if a wrecker can sell you just that piece. Suspect they’ll just want to sell the whole mirror for 1k tho. Ugh
