Hmm. Got a guy that's a wholesale manager at a ford dealership offering to buy my truck. Getting really good money for it too. We will see how this plays out.

Hey, anyone know the procedure to pay down your loan with Ford credit early? I sent in extra through the rbc bill payment and all that did was make my next few payments $0, but didn't shorten the length of the loan. Sort of the opposite of what I wanted. Guess I could phone them....

I have done the same thing. I pay extra on my truck every payment and I am ahead now by about 3.5 payments. I did it this way so that if I need some extra cash for something, I can skip a payment or 2 and not be worried about it rather than applying it to the actual principal. However, once I have that up to 5 payments, I will do what you are looking to do.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I can understand that thinking. Not what I'm trying to do in this case though. And I looked through my Ford Credit online "account manager" page and I didn't see what I needed. I'll give them a phone call I suppose.
There's a lot of ways for a person to manage their finances, and paying down a 1.99% auto loan isn't really a high priority, but it's one of those things I just feel better doing. And in the end, you need to feel good about your money.

Much better deal than the currently advertised lease on ford.ca. Not sure how they get MSRP of $71k for that truck, I get mid-to-high 60's but whatever. Wonder who the lease is through, and what your options for buyout at the end of the lease are. Maybe none. If that's the case, you could be better off getting a ford credit lease, paying more per month, and then selling privately at the end of the term? Paying $14k for 24 months of truck rental seems like too much for me.
Although, I've proven I don't understand leases, which is why I just financed my truck.
Here's what I got on ford.ca

Wasn't even in the market for an F-150 but this has me seriously considering it. I was shopping for a truck though and was pretty discouraged at how much they've gone up in the five years since I last looked for a vehicle. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
As per RFD thread, lease is through Ford Credit. Didn't see anything on buyout options, but I did see a couple posts where residuals were something like $46k. Also, the lease payments are basically the same as for a Corolla or Civic which is crazy.
Not sure how they are changing the payments so much from the Ford credit numbers on Ford.ca.
If that's a real Ford credit lease, pretty nice deal.

You're missing a few options from yours like the big sunroof, the off road pack, the 20s and dont forget they already show 4k off msrp on ford.ca. The low 70s MSRP checks out. Ford just seems to have additional incentives not shown on their site for the FX4, 502, 2.7 and factory order...pulling a CCC report would likely show all the incentives. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. To lease something that expensive for 2 years for 249bw is a steal. It's a Ford lease so it is a closed one with an option to buy out, if you really wanted to.
And yeah as cyra1ax mentions, a Basic honda Civic EX is $250bw to lease for 24 months. If you're simply wanting to rent something for two years, this is a very good deal on a brand new design, unless of course you work at a Ford dealer.

Figured I was missing something. I didn't dig into it at all, because I'm not interested. Still not sure how they make the payments lower then the website on a Ford credit lease.

Haha, that's why it's so great. Way lower than you'd expect to pay, as long as it's really closed. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
