I realize that, I would have bought the old V8 Raptor. Still would tbh.

But you are too pretty to be seen in a used truck. I get it, but I don't have that problem.

Interesting. I had someone in a 3.5 King Ranch try to blow me away from the lights a few weeks ago and it was a fairly close race. I assume it was the low output in that truck. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But probably 4.10 gears in king ranch?

For sure the "regular" output version. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
For sure NOT 4.10 gears, not available in that truck at all. probably 3.55, that's the high volume version, only get 3.73 in certain heavy payload trucksThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

3.31 are standard, 3.55 and 3.73 optional it looks like. My truck has 4.10s.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I don’t know much about the fords. Figured “King Ranch” was some kind of working truck spec for horse trailers or something

High Output only comes in Limited Trim
Canadia anyways
you only get those numbers on 91/93 octane.

My Platinum Expedition doesn't have the HO 3.5, but has 400hp. I wonder if the tune is actually different or if they just expect Platinum owners to put 91 octane in. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it.

I was just surprised, after driving them I expected it to blow my 7100lb diesel out of the water just based on feel alone. To 100km/h it was about half a truck length difference with myself in the lead.
$8k off msrp sounds pretty decent on a raptor but ive driven past a couple ford dealers and theres always 3-4 in front so who knows. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Theres so many variables to a street race that i wouldnt base my opinion off 1 race. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I wouldn’t call it a street race. I would call it a douche trying to cut the line in a turning lane tho. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

It used to have legit full grain leather seats. Now I don't know what it is.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It used to be true real saddle leather, now it's just regular automotive leather in a brown colour. That Saddle leather was awesome, IF you took care of it, it discoloured and dried out if you didn't. The ventilated seats need the thin perforated leather though, I don't think it would have even been possible with the saddle leather.

The country boy version of a platinum. Couple fewer features than the platinum IIRC, but very similar. RE: the leather, I know the leather in a platinum is diff than leather on other trims... is it upgraded in king ranch as well, or just brown version of what you get on a lariat? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. edit: specifically talking about super duty since that's what I helped my dad shop for. No idea about the F150.
Yeah except...he went straight in a turn lane only to avoid getting into a legal lane to cross the intersection. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Has anyone dealt with the timing chain stretch issue? TSB 18-2305 is the newest iteration of it. Basically its a loud rattle lasting 2-5 seconds on a cold start. Surprise surprise it started happening to me 7,000km out of warranty and I'm looking at a 4k repair bill as they have to replace the timing chain, tensioner kit, and all four VCT units according to the TSB. Almost makes a guy want to trade it in, but increasing the amount of time I'd have payments for makes me sick to my stomach.
