So much a trend that they had to republish our work dress code for the office and remind people that tights are not acceptable office wear.

I'm all for tights, but definitely not in a professional setting...might as well go to work in sweat pants.

What did you price beat to get the V1 for $299? A guy at work is trying to buy one and I hadn't seen it that cheap.

Screwed around with the AF tuning more and it's about as good as it's gonna get and I'll have to live with it, until I return in July and send the camera in. MF using the liveview really zoomed in still yields the best results - it's a startling difference.

On a positive side note, there is an eagle's nest down south at the end of Cranston Ave towards the Bow River. Tip from a different Beyonder this afternoon!

On a ridiculous note, with the 1.21 firmware, the V1 can take the 80-400 + TC-20eIII I'm not even sure what that equates to in terms of full frame focal length but I'm excited. It's all MF of course but the results are actually sharp from what I can tell so far and metering still works!

Earl was kind enough to let me borrow his X100s today and keep it safe during his move.

AF seems just as slow as the X100, but apparently its a firmware thing. Very odd that Fuji would ship them like this though. The reduction in MFD on both the EVF and OVF before entering macro mode is great.

Files seem to work with in LR 4.4 (Shame on you Earl for only shooting it in jpeg! Look at that last picture, pushing the shadows in the floor made it look bloodstained.)

    nice shots ryan!
pretty good bokeh on the dog pic, too bad f2 on crop doesn't cut it though on the 2nd pic.

have you tried the manual focus mode?

about RAW, I haven't had the chance to shoot RAW yet because I was waiting for 4.4 to come out first, when it came out last week I've been too busy with the moving and the M6 right now.
but yeah.. pushing shadow and highlight is aweful on JPEG

hope to see a M+cron vs X100s comparison hough

That's some good Bald Eagle spotting there, and I like how there's a whole herd of deer staring at you. You're lucky they decided to run the other way When I see them on the road they seem odd and do not behave logically.

That X100s is looking good in that dark hallway.

I started a Project365 last month and thought the mosaics that people were putting up were a great way to see what I shot the previous month. After almost 3 years on flickr, one of my photos finally got explored, because I suck haha.

Someday we may need to activate the halo structure off Deerfoot and destroy the North East.

Went out for a second attempt today. Many of these are more-or-less 100% crops because of subject distance (except for the obvious two).

First time I've touched a camera in about a year... but I had the time, a sunset and a clean car, so I went out for an hour or so!
