    Default Sound Deadening considerations

Since installing the JL Subwoofer I'm getting some rattling in the trunk. I'm also have exhaust droning noise.

    I'm considering using both

    1. B-Quite Ultimate 50 sq ft - $139.99 each
    Shipping: $15.00

    2. CLD Tiles sounddeadenershowdown.com
Up to 40 (@ $2.45 USD per tile) CLD Tiles is a USPS Priority Flat Rate Box: Shipping: $40.95 USD
(I don't need 40 tiles, 15-20 is enough.. anyone care to split shipping cost?)

For the trunk, should I just get #1 only and not worry about 2. The CLD from what I've read does an excellent job of removing rattles.. I have heard other Sound Deadening like B-Quiet is only good at reducing overall noise but does not stop the rattling.

No too sure about the rattles, but I used B-Quiet and I'm happy with it. I also think they are in Lethbridge so it's really fast to get it. I ordered on a Tuesday and was installing on Thursday.

I have 100 sq feet of fat mat, and a few pieces of roxul insulation in my jeep and it is like being in a soundproof room lol, Not even close to the same level as Dynamat, but way way way cheaper. I cant comment on the two you used since I havent installed either one myself. I will say that a lot of people have problems with the more entry level mat not sticking on vertical surfaces, but a good heat gun will fix that.

    This is what I have:

I would not recommend B-Quiet, I was very unimpressed with the result when I used it on my GS. It's super messy and once it's applied you'll never get it off.

The best stuff I've used for that specific application is Focal BAM. Cascade VB5 is also very good.

I know Mobile Solutions usually has the VB5 in stock, and Audio Concepts usually has Focal BAM in stock.

I have B-Quiet Ultimate installed on all my doors, rear shelf and trunk. This stuff, though messy when applying works great at making even my crappy OEM speakers sound better. But since I replaced everything now with Focals, the music in my car sounds amazing, and I notice my trunk has no rattling since I just recently installed a sub.

Now I'm thinking of applying something like Dynaliner to the doors to get better soundproofing.

I got the CDL tiles coming from the US, 20 tiles and should arrive this week.

I also 50 Sq ft of the Ultimate B-Quiet.

SportEL, how did you installed the B-Quiet in the trunk? I know you will have to install on the back, 2 sides of the trunk, but did you install on the side that is closest to the front of the car? How many sq ft did the trunk consumed?
