Default Moral dilemma - what would you do?

So , this afternoon I had to clean off my balcony due to necessary repairs. When I got to my tires, I found a pigeon nest inside..mother pigeon came flying out straight at me. Damn near gave me a heart attack!!

Now my dilemma is, I could cook the eggs up for breakfast but it feels wrong..even for these little shit rats. Any ideas? I was thinking of moving the nest, but I'm on the 14th floor and they would probably just die anyway. At the same time, I don't want my balcony to become a bird sanctuary

I think you are going to get opinions across the board here - all the way from the bleeding hearts to the strangely emotionally detached.

If repairs are pending, it is not safe for any worker who is repairing it to have the mother bird coming in and trying to kill them.

The nest has to go. Simple as that.

Put a sign up above the crushed eggs saying "I hope you've learned your lesson, DON'T FUCK WITH ME."

Fuck pigeons. If it were any other bird, I would recommend trying to do the right thing and somehow help them.

I wouldn't eat them, that's for sure! But yeah, they've gotta go.

As soon as those pigeons start thinking your balcony is a nice cozy home, shit just got real.

    Here's my suggestion:

Well that depends, are you pro-life or pro-choice?

Pigeons are the new "in pet" keep them this is your lucky day. The price of pigeons has gone through the roof in the last couple years

Thanks for all the replies..agreed. I'd hate for a worker to get hurt or worse because of these flying car paint destroyers.

Now, if it was eagles, hawks or toucans pelicans/any other cool bird I'd have a serious problem on my hands. Still sucks to have to mess with nature

Just drop the eggs off your balcony, problem solved.

I looked at them under the light, and they were very yolky looking. No signs
of beaks or anything. Made it a little easier.

I'm pretty sure Daisy makes a lovely solution for this problem And I'm sure you can't find it over at bass pro for about 90$

As a kid, I've heard rumors that draino and dried rice does wonders for pigeons.
Someday we may need to activate the halo structure off Deerfoot and destroy the North East.

After trying a bunch of hardware stores, I gave up and made my own last summer with a box of wood screws, some door moulding that I found in the alley and some zipties.

Looks awful, but nobody can see it, and the more you drink while putting the screws in the more menacing it looks. If you live in hoity toity prancy prance Pump Hill and are worried about your neighbors taking you into the woods to hunt the most dangerous game, maybe spraypaint it or something.
