Where's the best place to buy a photo box and which one should I get?

I'm looking for something more professional than making my own. It'll be used mainly for watches and small jewellery and must have some way (lights or flash mounts) to provide soft lighting and reduce hot spots on the items. Also preferably a mount for a Nikon D series so all photos can be initiated from a computer instead of having to interact directly with the camera. Thanks.

Not sure what The Camera Store has, but that would be another place to check.

That should give you an idea of what to look for at least. "Tabletop Studio" or something along those lines seems to be what you're after.

if you want to control the camera with your laptop, just make sure that your camera model supports it.


personally, I built my own, set flash on both sides and a bright white lamp up top.

Looks like direct lighting though, I'll have to see if it creates hot spots or if I need to soften the light somehow. Otherwise it's good, I can take all the photos right from the computer.

Don't have the camera yet, need to pick up a Nikon D series as well. Looks like there are a few of them on the compatibility list.
