Does the AUPE handle security at the courthouse? On the flip side it could be an overzealous PR stunt. “Look at our members. Back on the job and keeping Albertans safe! Good thing we were here!” That was just a repair man with a bag of tools who couldn’t speak English? Pay no mind to that, we’re heroes!

One of my employees just got back from the court of appeals (different building) and the clerk there said it ended up being a real bomb. Apparently a guy went through security, his bag was scanned and was suspicious. He is in custody and the courthouse is still in lockdown mode and may not be opened for the rest of the day. We get an official word at 1pm. How true all of this is....I don't know.

My Gf and baby girl were there when it all happened. She was told to evacuate immediately. Her truck was parked out front and she wasn't even aloud to take it. I had to rush down town and pick them up. its a crazy situation.
