Talking 6th gen Chevrolet Camaro sketches - 3rd gen throwback

    http://gmauthority.com/blog/2012/12/...s-are-awesome/

I'm eating my words here, but if GM makes a Camaro that looks like this and isn't 4000 lbs..I will probably find a way to buy it!

*must have t-tops..although I don't think they are allowed to put them on cars anymore..not getting a vert.

well....I would have to see the interior/dash first. The current dash is horrible.

As long as they make it at least 200kg lighter it might be my next car.

Looks like the third gen and the fat gen (current model) had a baby.
93 Camaro Z28 (The fast one)
01 Trans Am WS6 (The cute one)
Esla T6 Dog Sled (Not cute, not fast, scary as hell)

I agree..Firebirds were beast in the 80's/90's. It's kinda funny though guys on kijiji with 4th gen birds trying to sell them for 20 G's "last of the breed"

Weight is also a deal breaker for me..I could care less about creature comforts and parking assist etc..

    If they can...

    a) lose pork
    b) improve the pill-box visibility all around
    c) improve the interior
    d) change the back end (even of this concept)

...then I can see myself driving one. I like the front end of the concept. At least they learned something from the cat fish.

I drove a 2012 convertible around Hawaii and I wasnt impressed.

Those sketches are far too rough to really get a feel for what it would truly look like. I'll 100% reserve judgement until I see something that looks a little closer to the real thing.

Also agree on all of these points with the exception of (d.) It's looking very 3rd genish from the rear which I think is perfect. The 3rd gen IROC Z has got to be one of the most original designs for a domestic in the 80's. Sexy cars, trailer park maybe but not when they are well maintained.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

I used to have a pretty bitchin' mullet (before buying a camaro)..at age 8. Maybe it's time to start growing again..
Just need a fanny pack, some high tops and a muscle shirt to be the ultimate douchebag camaro owner lol.

Next gen camaro is built on the same platform as the Cadillac ATS that came out this year... Overall the platform is smaller, only time will tell if that translates into lighter too.

It will never, ever, ever come with rims that size...

Looks interesting, but very much a concept. It has a lot of lines I know will never make it to production....

I agree, we need the Pontiac Trans am to come back. That kit you can buy that makes the current camaro look like a '77-78 Trans am is just fucking bad ass in so many ways.
