This game is in open beta this weekend, check it out.

They have something like 40 different characters with differing abilities. Diablo 3 in the Marvel Universe and made by the guy who did Diablo 2.

I really have no interest in free-to-play games.

It's a pain to grind it out against people willing to drop hundreds on purchased gear.

From what I saw you can purchase new Superheroes and new costumes but I don't think you can buy actual items (I could be wrong, grain of salt).

It's a pretty fun game though, I'll probably play it a bit when it comes out.

From my understanding the only perk to paying is getting XP faster and different characters and suites. So really I don't think it will be that same as D3 for example.

How is the game overall? Play much like diablo 2? Are there hordes of enemies like d2 had or is it sparsely spaced out like d3?

Heroes can either be bought, or dropped in the game with a super low drop rate.

Yeah, its pretty dumb, right after you finish the tutorial, you get storm, which is a free hero (not sure if its random, but most people I know got storm). And I got storm again after finishing the story =S

I started playing. It went ok.
Kind of sucks that you likely won't get Hulk or Deadpool for free, I really just wanted to play as DP.
I got Scarlett Witch after the tutorial.

How do you drop stuff from inventory out in the open?
Also, is there a public chat or do you have to just message people individually?

I got The Thing after the tutorial mission I played Iron Man and Scarlet Witch in the beta, so hopefully those two are drops and not buy-to-play :P
