    Default Ender's Game

Looks like it could be pretty good. Just not sure if they'll make it into a super special effects movie or actually try to keep it close to the book (at least they have the Zero Grav arena in there )

Read it last year. Found it pretty good.

Trailer doesn't look bad. At least the kid playing Ender looks to be cast right. I usually hate child actors as they mostly overact alot. This kid looks ok so I'm hopeful.

I read the whole trilogy when I was in grade 7. This movie should be good, even if only for nostalgia's sake

I just finished reading the Ender Saga (4 books), and I'm pretty pumped about the movie. The rest of the books are quite different from the first one so I don't expect them to make sequels.

I'm a big Orson Scott Card fan, and I re-read the Ender books regularly. I will totally be going to this, even though I usually find movies have to cut so much material that they always feel rushed.

Looks pretty good. I'm going to have to read the book again! It's been so long. I too read the whole series and loved it. Although the later books do get pretty out-there.

I wonder if they'll include any of the violence between the kids. It's pretty integral into Ender's character development.

I'm interested to see just how many creative liberties they will have to take to make this book short enough and action-packed enough to match that trailer. I'm not so sure a movie about some kids playing zero-g paintball and then a strategy game on a computer will be all that exciting! I loved the book, Orson Scott Card was one of the great "true" sci-fi writers of all time. Up there with Larry Niven, Arthur C Clarke, Joe Haldeman and Frank Herbert.

This is from Asa Butterfield's (Ender) AMA on Reddit that answers that question: LINK

Didn't Card himself say that the book would never be able to be made into a movie because it primarily takes place in his head?

I really wonder what sort of liberties they'll take...

... I just want to see a scene where Andrew's on leave on Earth at the lake before heading off to command school...

... I heard a rumour that they might turn Valentine and Petra into one character... which would be absolutely horrible.

    Just read this book too!!!

I read somewhere that the producers and Card fought the whole way during production. Im expecting lots to be cut out and our altered if that was the case.

In going to watch it anyways.
