On our map of the real city quadrants, I'd say that Evanston, Panorama, and Harvest Hills are really a part of the NE.

wrong. you are confusing the city grid quadrants, geographic quadrants, and cultural quadrants. We all know that anything east of 4th is the NE, and that the boundary is slowly moving eastward. I know it's hard for folks living there to admit that, but even I lived in Acadia at one time but had to get out as the entire area was becoming more and more ghettoized. I even watched someone get shot in the rembrandt pub (or whatever it's called) parking lot by McDonalds.

Police have now charged a man with second degree murder in connection with the deaths of a mother and her son at a home in Evanston on Thursday afternoon.

Guevara Wilson Clorina, 26, from Calgary has been charged with two counts of second degree murder for the deaths of Chona Manzano, 35, and her son Gabriel, 5.

Police say that Clorina is related to the deceased, but he isn't an immediate family member and doesn't live in the home.

Autopsies on the two bodies are ongoing and the cause of death cannot be released at this time.

Clorina was picked up by police on Thursday afteroon after Didsbury RCMP found his vehicle on a rural road north of the community.

The incident began when officers attended a home at about 12:50 p.m. on Thursday in the 200 block of Evanspark Circle N.W. after a 911 call from a neighbour.

Inside, officers found an young boy and a woman in serious medical distress.

They died at the scene.

A neighbour says the incident unfolded quickly, but doesn’t know what exactly happened.

“I heard loud voices out here as I was loading the truck. I went back inside and when I came out, there were police everywhere.”

Police say that a suspicious vehicle was seen fleeing the home.

A few hours later, that same vehicle was tracked down by Didsbury RCMP.

Neighbours say that two brothers and their respective families, along with about five children, live in the home.

Clorina will appear in court on May 21.

Yeah, I don't know how people think that Kincora, Evanston and Pananoram hills are in the NW. It is just an extension of the the hood.

My best friends son is a classmate of the kid that was killed. He even talked to the mother the day before the incident so he was surprised when he found out about what happen.
