I went there and the waiter guy was like try this hot pepper thing, so i got it and forgot to ask for a new ice tea, so i bit in and this hot hot spice just about makes me gag, i look for my drink, but nothing was in it. I asked the waiter if he could bring me a new ice tea like pronto, hes like sure, 20 min later i got it. Aaaagghhhh i swear he was just fucking with me.
mexican restaurant?
is it more like ChiChis (american mexican food) or more "southwest" mexican which is loaded with cilantro?

More like the old Chi Chi's. If you want really good Mexican, go to El Sombrero on 17th right above Ming (i think) It's GREAT food.
Salt and pepper food was decent but I'll give El Sombrero a try
My El Sombrero quickl review is on its way...

El Sombrero gets a from me. Very good authentic food, its just that last time we were there their was this little mexican guy getting drunk and yelling at everybody
Machining, Fabricating, Welding etc.
i like both... but ever since Chi Chi's disappeared I have been craving a deep friend Chimichanga with sour cream and melted cheese... with salsa without cilantro
El sombraros
Salt & Pepper is not very authentic Mexican... I know this because I travel to Mexico for work many times and it's not even close. Now, El Sombero is authentic. Not to mention, I had a "mishap" at Salt & Pepper that I would like to forget... Let's just say that I ate something that shouldn't have been on my plate.

I consistantly find pieces of steel wool inside of my shrimp dumpling when I go to Regency Palace for dim sum. They've never failed me yet since I've found a peice of steel wool OR hair everytime that I've gone there.
Anything similar to that?
