Default Cost to build a garage?

If one wanted to build a no thrills (e.g., no heat or anything beyond the basics) 4 car stand-alone garage, roughly, what would be the average cost (I guess per sq. ft) in Calgary? Researching online has given me several ideas, but nothing local and I'm pretty sure the cost to build in the US is a lot cheaper than up here

    10g concrete, 12g materials, 4g framing, 2g electrical, 3g siding. Total 31g.

Give or take, assuming just pad without frost walls, heating, insulation or drywall. After a certain size though you do need footings. Also that is assuming you do the contracting yourself. Multiply by 1.3 to 1.5 to have someone else do it.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

There was a big discussion about this before somewhere here, and although I have an electric heater in the garage, I never use it.

When it's -30 outside, my unheated, but insulated garage is at about -11 to -14, which isn't bad at all, and costs me nothing and ensures my car still starts. When I drive a car in the heat of the engine also warms it up a few degrees above those stated

30x40 was 65k with heat, mezzanine and lights.. take off 10k to leave it a bare shell.

That seems rather expensive no? I got a 22x22, much smaller obviously, but it was like 15k all in with insulation and all the drywall. We paid to have the pad done, rest did ourselves. Twice the size should be less than twice the price I would think. The 30-35k sounds like a more reasonable number as someone mentioned.

A small 4 car, 20' X 40' with 9' ceilings and cottage style roof will cost you around $30K with drywall and insulation if you do all of the work yourself.
    I like neat cars.
