Default What is your Blood Pressure/Heart Rate?

I started measuring mine and recording the info every time I hit a Safeway. I was suprised by my heart rate:

My resting HR is about 60bpm, and my BP fluctuates between 120-140/80ish depending what I ate, or what I'm doing.

OP either you're a small asian female, or a very healthy athlete!

I went to the Doctor after this one. It was when I was 40, three years ago.

I'm on blood pressure medicine now.

I went to the doctor the other day after falling off a ladder in my garage and they took my blood pressure. It was 143/90 which seemed high to me. The doctor presumed it was high because it was first thing in the morning. She told me to take it at night sometime at home. I had forgotten about this until tonight and took and it was also 143/90. My dad just told me to take the meds for the rest of my life and it will be fine. Any other beyonders 40+ have this.

Proper technique is key for an accurate measurement of your blood pressure at home.

Here is some information that you may find helpful:
    https://hypertension.ca/hypertension...lood-pressure/

    https://hypertension.ca/wp-content/u...h-2018-Web.pdf

For an otherwise healthy individual, we are looking for a target home blood pressure of 135/85mm Hg or less, measured morning and evening, for 7 days. First day values are to be discarded.

Have the Lowest Possible Nurse find a cuff for the sphygmomanometer that actually fits your arm, correctly.
I had the same bullshit high numbers turn up for me a few times until I pointed out that the cuff looked like it was for a toddler and I'm the size of 5+ toddlers.
    Bigger cuff. Boom. Normal result.

I know a lot of people with higher blood pressure. Mine has mostly been boring for 10 years at 120/80 and resting heart rate of ~60. That heart rate isn't great, should do some cardio exercises.
