Have the Lowest Possible Nurse find a cuff for the sphygmomanometer that actually fits your arm, correctly.
I had the same bullshit high numbers turn up for me a few times until I pointed out that the cuff looked like it was for a toddler and I'm the size of 5+ toddlers.
    Bigger cuff. Boom. Normal result.
It’s always been normal at safeway so maybe I will go try there

I think all the free blood pressure machines are shut down these days. My local ones are. Germs and shit, bro.

I watch mine regularly as I have a bicuspid aortic valve. Annual physical was 124/80 which is better than what I get at home. Hr is normally 53. Pretty happy with my blood pressure as my dad has been on meds since 24. I’m getting close to 40 and no meds needed

I took it again at home right now after resting for 10 mins+ and with only my tshirt on. Last night I had a sweater on as well (unsure it makes a difference), the result just now was 124/80 which is better. I guess I need to test it regularly.

Yeah. It's usually a range. I was 140/95 but losing 20lbs puts me back to 120/80.

Get your other levels detailed too.
There's correlation of high BP with higher uric acid levels which are diet related.
Correct your diet and bp drops possibly without drugs.
    I'm not a doctor though.

What is the value in watching it in relation to that?

Rapid changes in blood pressure aren’t good. I monitor it weekly, can’t recall if the specialist asked me. Maybe it’s a mental thing to pretend life is normal.

Thanks. I am always interested in hearing people's thoughts. I have one too but I pretty much don't even think about it and have the "one day they'll eventually replace it no matter what" mindset so just take a dgaf approach basically. Not saying that's "right" or anything, just what I do. Other than an annual to bi-annual checkup.

I measure mine as least once a week, just bought a cheap $25 one off Amazon that has a USB connector so I don't have to worry about batteries.

One thing I found is to make sure your arm is elevated and resting on something at the same level of your heart, otherwise, if it's too low, it will always read higher than what it really is. Also, don't use one with a cuff that's too tight, or it will be reading too high as well.

I'm out of shape right now. Had it checked earlier in the week. 120 over 79......not as good as previous years. I need the gyms to open up again!!!

    https://peterattiamd.com/rickjohnson/

Rick Johnson, professor of nephrology at the University of Colorado, explains how his research into the causes of blood pressure resulted in a change of research direction to focus more on how fructose has such profound metabolic effects. Rick begins by talking about the relationship between salt and high blood pressure, then provides a masterclass into uric acid, and then expertly reveals the mechanisms and pathways by which sugar (specifically fructose) can profoundly impact metabolic health.

    Checked today 109/76
    RHR 57

On another note I've had a few clients that have gotten off of of BP meds for good. They never seemed to feel good on them, either always light headed or BP to high. From what i've seen though lifestyle changes make a massive difference no matter how long you been on them
